I’m a retail andy but it’s insane how hard it is to find tanks rn for even low level content during prime time.
Every warrior is “dps only” and refuses to tank even though you can literally just slap a sword/board on and tank in dstance with dps talents for basically the entire leveling journey. You’d be stupid not to tank and get insta groups whenver you want.
Kind of a blizz problem for making basically only 1 (1/2) tanks viable. But that’s just classic how it was 20 years ago. Classic experience. Afk waiting at dungeon entrance for 30 mins.

There is no tank shortage. Stop with the bait. You tank dungeons cleaving with a 2 hander. These posts aren’t going to work.
Go play sod if you want warriors nerfed/want my class to do x

Some of them lack the brain cells necessary to do more than Zug. They’d just make you miserable were they to tank, if anything be thankful.

I might try leveling a warrior as an alt, and would absolutely tank dungeons leveling up. No hesitation.
But I’m clearly not a warrior main and don’t plan on it. This post is about the bajillion warriors in lfg that are “dps only” and refuse to tank even though this version of the game is 20 years old and everyone know that warriors are the only real tank class in the game - and the fact that they would get instant groups every time if they sucked it up.

If tanking is so easy, do it yourself. Maybe you’ll find that other players tend to make tanking an awful experience with their antics, and then blame you for being a bad tank. Maybe you’ll begin to see why people would rather wait 30mins than tank.

It is easy. At least in vanilla. Nothing in this game is hard at least pve wise up til max level.
Not gonna reroll because other classes dont want to do their role.
This is classic not retail. Social skills n networking matters. You can find a guild or friends and run stuff with them, more consistently n efficiently.
If you don’t like that, then you gotta spend time in lfg to find a random.
The grindiness and time consuming part is part of the experience. If it’s too much for you n you want fast fast easy loot, you should go back to retail.

I’ll sit around and wait an hour for a tank while staring at my screen.
I’m not on Aniv, but I like to join UBRS pugs on Era whenever I see people looking for melee dps/OT, mainly just because I like the dungeon, and I think it’s fun to do.
I can’t tell you how many of those UBRS groups I’ve joined after seeing “LFM OT UBRS”, and when I join there are 2-3 other dps warriors already in the group.
It works out perfectly for me, but it’s always funny to see.
Paladins and Druids can tank in 5 mans just fine.
Druids are easier than Pallies(not because of the tank) but they’re both viable for 5mans despite what the peanut gallery likes to claim.
Pallies are actually better than Warriors for most leveling dungeons once they get the right talents.
They’re not really “Classic” players; they’re locusts swarming to eat a fresh field and move on to the next thing they can ruin. This is every new server ever that you can join.
A small % of them are really good, but the overwhelming majority are posers following a script.

People don’t want to tank, so if you think it’s easy perhaps you should tank yourself, rather than complaining about everyone else not wanting to.
I have yet to need a tank in any dungeon I’ve been in. Just did armory with 2x rogue, hunter, warlock, hpal.
I tanked most of it as a rogue no issues. You don’t even need a tank till 50+.

so far at lvl 27 on my warrior, i tanked rfc, wc, sfk and bfd two times each, there was one dungeon i wanted to do as dps to simply do something else and hand no problem joining a group lol
What’s funny is that you don’t really need a tank in low level dungeons, just “dps tank”. Oh noes, you have aggro! so much responsibility! so stressful! right… tanking isn’t hard so I laugh when people dares others to tank.
Low level tanking sucks so bad.
It gets much better around level 30 or so… but early on its straight garbage.

Go read my thunderclap spamming thread and you’ll understand why wars (or whoever) don’t really like to tank. It’s honestly the communities fault, cuz these bandwagon noobs think they can zug but have no idea what they’re even talking about. Dps is often lousy these days too… aggroing everything, not letting tank pull packs back, not attacking mob tank has most threat on… there’s a lot of scrubs out there bro.

Yeah my favorite is healing a group of 4 browns where one guy just , retal, bloodfury and he gets mad when I let him die with no heals and let a more sensible male orc war pick it up. There’s a lot of dent heads playing this fresh. Enter: group of 4 orcs “take bloodfury off your bars or u die.”
