Dps is why healers dont wanna heal in bgs

My last blitz, i got the flag, i get sapped, one team mate goes by, 2nd goes by, im stun locked, 3rd goes by, forth goes by… and im like wtf…
Im trying to keep my dps alive but i got 2 ppl ccing and attacking me while 3 of my teammates is chasing one enemy… 90% of the time dps dont know how to peel.
Dps just runs around like leeroys jenkins attacking everything that moves, instead of doing the obj.
Dps cant figure out why they cant kill a enemy, while im /facepalming watching a healer heal the enemy… They just cant figure out that killing the healer, would let them kill the other one… oO
I heal btw…

They don’t have friendly nameplates on, they don’t know that you’re a healer, they don’t even know what your name is.

Sometimes they don’t even notice when you’re a Mistweaver and there’s an obvious link between us.

I particularly love watching the enemy wail on my heal target, while I’m casting Soothing Mist on them. And my heal target gets to stand still and DPS, while the enemy gets more and more frustrated.

I was going to say I been fistweaving at 2k bgblitz and most people really try , know what to do. It’s been more fun than any of my dps toons, Or random bgs. But I get it some times people be looking for squirrels and :poop:

Stay Strong! Every once in a while you will be solo-focused in every group fight and your team won’t help you. Then, eventually, a genius dps will realize they are losing because their healers aren’t healing and start spamming that you suck and are the reason they are losing. It’s great fun.

What? I read this title of OP and laughed. It’s obvious Airwen is a dps marksman hunter that dances around looking for healers to kill, when I am playing my healer holy priest I heal like this is the last run we will ever play together forever and DPS is just another player that needs heals.

As a dps hunter I stick with where the healers are and try and keep them from harms way if I can. Rarely, when I am on my priest do I get the same treatment back.

I’m fine with it. The cap keeps me off my healer more than anything currently.

It’s the game of stuns. Secondly most capture the flag players are in it to PvP the heck out of each other and usually one team plays to win while the other doesn’t care and just loses. I was in one and commented are we going to play cap the flag or just kill the other side they responded we just kill the other sides players are have no intentions of playing capture the flag…….

MMR in Blitz should start to separate non-objective players away from objective players.

What is the point of this rambling post?

It’s nice that you yourself look out for your healers.

But the vast majority of DPS players aren’t watching their own team. They often don’t know that you’re being sapped. They don’t sit bases. They won’t defend anything, if it means they don’t top the scoreboard.

It’s just pressing w at the enemy and complaining that they aren’t being healed.

That’s just players being bad at PvP.
I see plenty of bad healers that can’t keep a team alive even if they are being ignored.

My suggestion is for everyone to make a healer and get used to watching raid frames. It really helps one to become a better dps just by having the experience of watching frames.

Yes this goes both ways. Bad healers also exist that don’t know how to hit their buttons and keep their friends alive, even with peels.

Or you lose when people aren’t doing objectives just the same as you will lose most your games if all you care about are objectives but don’t know how to kill/heal fights

Then people wonder why people premade lol

I’ve found “peeling” feels pretty pointless a lot of times, especially with breakable cc.

Blizzard’s idea of “balance” seems to be just adding more DPS to classes. I saw a Venruki video recently where he said the same thing, and he also added that there are too many CCs in the game. I think Blizzard is just trying to make classes seem more complex by adding stuff to them, but it’s just filler. We as players should be ready for Blizzard to do a purge of abilities/spells to make things simpler without losing complexity and gameplay. (not the case of DH and BM Hunters xD)

My favourite one is DPS running to me, with enemies in tow, while I am drinking.

Players run at me all the time when I’m drinking.

Oh wait, you were talking about the other kind of drinking…

I see it happen all the time. I’ve just accepted the fact these players, for whatever reason, just don’t care. Such is the nature of random BG’s.

Not going to lie but sometimes especially on Horde side I get some really really really bad healers. And I am not talking about under-geared healers, just players that don’t know how to position or just heal themselves and one player. Yet the other team’s healers are always at the right node and healing everyone, after awhile I have to log off and cool down because it gets that frustrating with some of the healers on my team.

I have a hard time with this… A lot of us play both Alliance and Horde toons, and a few inexperienced players are going to be on either side. Generally, just give them the grace for choosing to play a healer because it is a tough and often unappreciated role, and that they will get better as they gain experience.

The journey to the Bloodthirsty title begins with a single honor kill. :grinning:

Really? I’m not even geared and I can carry the flag through an entire team. Especially as a disc priest. And besides healers really should t be carrying flags. Especially disc priests. We are the slowest class there is. I can shield rapture bubble dispel fade trinket and rinse and repeat and move maybe ten feet per
Minute. If there is a dk then just forget it. On a brighter note I never die.
I dunno this thread seems really
Really inaccurate.
