With the DF talents, is there a build that allows one to effectively DPS as resto?
Like mark yourself as DPS and head into a dungeon and still pull your weight?
No. Even if you orient yourself toward DPS, Resto still has one of the lowest if not the lowest DPS of all healers, especially compared to classes like Resto Shaman and HPal.
Also, marking yourself as the role you aren’t playing as in a group is a jerk move.

Why not just pick an easy feral or balance build? You cast many of the same spells and shift forms to dps as resto.
If you want to dps open world in resto youll get by slowly but fine, in dungeons it would stop at mythic 0s with you playing budget feral going full kitty class tree talents+heart+swarm+minute convoke for passable single target every 5 minutes and spending your aoe spamming swipe inebtween dot refreshes or spamming starfire between dot refreshes.
In any content this is viable you’d also be better off just signing up as healer for the quicker ques and taking advantage of the vigil flourish combo for the occasional big dps bump.
Wanted to DPS as a Treant but seems like it isn’t viable so oh well.

go balance and learn treant form you can just do that
