As an Affliction Warlock my dps tops the charts soon as I start casting Maelific Rapture and activate all my cooldowns i.e. Darkglare and Dark Soul Misery. But soon as my cooldowns expire and I run low on shards my dps drops dramatically. Is this working as intended? What is considered your actual dps. with the cooldowns active or when your cycling your normal rotation?
Working as intended. Run drain soul and make sure you have UA on priority targets to maximize shard gen. (You get shards if you channel drain soul and target has ua on it when it dies) it’s called shard sniping.
The dps is all in MR. The PS/VT cooldowns are important mostly as timers for MR dumps but all that dps is locked into MR so yeah working as intended.
