Doesn’t it seem to everyone that we are getting extreme downtimes for Maintenace. I’m starting to feel like I’m paying money to be down all the time. Full days of playing ability is far and few between now. If the game is up, there are other problems like getting dc’d a lot. I have to say this update has been the worse for actual play. I wish Blizzard would get this expac right and let me play.

I know it feels like a lot of time, but out of the entire month if they do 8hour maintenance every Tuesday it’s not even $1 of your sub.
That’s the only thing that makes me not upset about the money aspect of it. It’s still super frustrating to have extended maintenance every week. I just wish they would be transparent about the actual length of time. I’m sure things come up unexpectedly, but hours worth? Each week?

I’ve just started assuming all downtime will go till 3pm PST and it becomes a pleasant surprise when it comes up hours before that.
Yano, expect the disappointment means you can be marginally less disappointed.
I agree with your comment but you failed to figure that 1 dollar X the total number of players which equates to millions of total lost dollars at all the players expense.

take that extra down time and burn your energy at the gym. Just think if we worked out as much as bliz has downtime on tuesday, we would all be buff greek gods
Sick to death of planning my days to allow myself some playtime only to have shutdowns for an hour here or an hour there over and over throughout the week. Maintenance that used to be around 1 hr per week is now constantly extended for hours at a time up to 3 or 4 hours over and above the advertised downtime with no warning … I can’t think of any other business that would get away with this cavalier attitude toward their customers . I have NO faith in uninterrupted playtime anymore . Seriously rethinking my sub.

sadly Everquest 3 doesnt even come out at beta until 2028 
The only issue I have with it is the serious communication issue they seem to have. They really need to learn the concept of underpromise and overdeliver. Just set aside 8 hours. If it takes 2, surprise people with it being up early.

They aren’t, it was cancelled in 2016, lol.
I’m not Blizz and I can’t just mess around all day. I would be happy to burn that hour doing something else.
The problem is they keep lying. Only one more hour. Only one more hour.
If they would just be honest people would be doing just that instead of being here complaining.

the world needs to go back to norrath where you are running naked back to you corpse to loot yourself and make sure you have food and water in your bags to just walk and move.

Everyone just needs to chill. Its a game. Its one day a week for several hours. This is the definition of first world problem.
Thats 32 Hours of lost play time no other game do this much maint on a old game

Sick of this downtime. I get so bored, I shower…There shouldn’t be time to shower.
yeah that was “everquest next” which was going to be awesome, digging a hole in the ground… but eq3 is a sure deal, its in the thought phase! haha
4% of the entire month’s playable hours and that’s assuming each maintenance is 8 hours long.
We all wanted new content, we got that and a lot more with all the new activities there is to do and with that comes bugs and more maintenance.
