I just tried to log on and my launcher started a download. It says pre-release content.

The Pre-Release content download that you are seeing on your launcher is in preparation for Patch 11.0.5 which comes out tomorrow.
You may read up on all of the changes coming tomorrow by reading the 20th Anniversary Celebration Patch Notes.
Also, Should note that maintenance tomorrow is scheduled to begin at 7:00AM (PDT) and end at approximately 3:00PM (PDT).
