Download Updates without Bnet Launcher?

Hey all - does anyone know if this is possible? To DL the latest patch or update without using the BNet launcher?
I tried logging into my Battlenet account to see if I could download a game patch from there, but can’t find anything.

Reason I’m asking, is my Bnet Launcher just crapped out last week, like a file went missing or got corrupted. The only way I could open the game without uninstalling it and reinstalling (or deleting the WTF folder), was to start the game without using the Launcher; via the WoW shortcut in the retail folder.
But now, when I try to start the game and get to server connection stage, the server selection window pops up - all the servers are red and say “Incompatible”.
Thought that might be because I’m missing an update or patch.

Restart computer and then redownload the Battle.net app.

Then run as Adminstrator.
Good luck.

The above advice is solid, but to answer you: no. The Bnet app needs to verify your license to allow downloading from the content network.

Yes I did not want to say no to their question , because I might have been wrong. I do know the app had a issue awhile back with the missing DLL file.
Since then I have read that that issue was fix with the newest release of Battle.net
Thanks Elocin.

I guess it wasn’t - this same error just occurred to me six days ago:
I started the game, logged in fine. Had to close it and restart so my sound would play. But in that 30 second interval of closing it then restarting I got this:
C:.…Battl.net.13747\libcef.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error… A required DLL could not be found. Please download and reinstall Battle.net.

Only way I could start up the game, was to go into the retail folder, and use the direct game launch icon, that circumvents the Bnet Launcher.
And now, because I can’t use the Launcher, I have no access to the ‘Scan and Repair’ tool.
I also can’t uninstall the battlenet app from my control panel “Add Remove Programs”, for the sake of trying to reinstall it.
I’ve tried Farntok’s advice:

Started the download at 7:16PM MST, it’s now 7:42PM MST, and the “Updating Battle.net” progress bar hasn’t budged from 7/8th of the way through its download.

Anyone else got an idea?

Create a new admin account on the machine and try installing it again. You may have some corrupted permissions for that directory.

I tried logging in for the first time in at least 2 weeks.
A download started then pretty much slowed down to 32 Kbs.
I thought maybe my connection was wonkey so I rebooted computer.
Now I get a LIBCEF.DLL corrupted or missing popup that at the end of the message says Error Status: 0xc000007b

How do I correct this.
Can’t start from any of the Blizzard exe’s or any of the wow exe’s. All give the same message.

Where can I download the .dll and what directory should I put it in?

UPDATE:
Uninstalled the Battlenet app, reinstalled it, problem fixed.
