So my Priest was ilvl 415 going into patch 10.1, and immediately going into +10 and higher keys. I got a piece of ilvl 441 tier gear from the vault, which is part of the Mythic appearance (purple). I really like the Normal appearance (white and gold), but would not get any pieces that low unless I only ran lower level keys, or raided Normal for a chance for it.
Question is… is there an easy way to go for the Normal tier gear? Or do I just need to collect what I can in lower keys and just hold onto it until the Catalyst opens to get the appearance?
Anything 415 (champion) can be used in the boopity bop when it drops on the 13th. Thats normal tier for white and gold. 424 is the black and red and 441 is the black and purple
They want you to run the instance for all levels so there are more opportunities for other players. They are just doing it to keep players occupied. That is my opinion is anyway.
I do think its a great idea to let the higher leveled gear, such as ones rewarded in mythic+ be provided a color selection without losing the ilevel, or automatically open up all lower level mogs if the highest is received.
Yea, that’s your main choice. Unless you run Normal Raid with your guild and they funnel the piece to you. (Cause even if you ran it, you can’t need it with a higher ilvl piece already in your possession, because Blizzard has a hate for people who like transmog) So anyone who needed it would automatically win it over you.
(replying for people who read the thread later)
Depends on your spec.
As Marksman, I was able to ditch my old 4p rather early for ilvl upgrades.
Having a helluva time ditching my old 2p though. The 4p isn’t that strong I guess, but the 2p is. (Raidbots sim ofc)
But if I were survival, yes, I would be holding onto my old 4p until I have my new 4p, it’s just that strong.
