Disintegrate looks like a weak gust of air now. Like what is our dragons’ mouth an air conditioner? And we have no option in graphic settings to put it back where it was? Ooof.
Can we just have a little transparency from you guys, please? Like, what are your plans with this, exactly? Is this just like a quick bandaid fix for group instance fps that you’re going to later give us some graphic options for, to return it back to how it should look? Or… are you planning on doing this for a bunch more spells for all classes as time goes on, and call it a day?
Because I’ll be honest with you guys, I am not going to continue paying you 15 dollars a month for a game in 2025 that is going to be downgrading graphics this badly without absolutely no graphic setting to adjust that with. In dungeons and raids? The primary played content in the entire game? Transparency as to what your future plans with this is literally the least you can do for a game costing me $190 every single year. My sub cancelation is imminent without some form of that.

Agrre, make this a toggle why do you have to force it. I like to watch others fx makes the game feel alive and not a single player campaign
Are there changes to other players’ spell visuals in the patch besides the notes about Elemental shaman? This is the first I’ve heard and I don’t remember reading other notes about it.
If true, it’s pretty ridiculous to even have an “Everything” graphics setting for spell density and have that completely ignored. My PC can handle seeing everything and I like to see everything, so it’d be nice if this immersion stops getting broken to handhold those who for some reason don’t like it (since those people can just turn down the setting). The more they do this, the more it feels like a singleplayer game where your allies are just phantom images around you.
I would also double-check that you’ve set emphasizeMySpellEffects to 0 on the PTR. I’m pretty sure this cvar still has functionality, and if it’s set to 1 it is also responsible for reducing other players’ effects. It’s possible they raised the degree to which this setting reduces those.
