When I log out I’m at full health, when I log in I’m down a couple hundred hit points. Armor seems to take no damage from it, what’s going on?
I use no addons ever, what could cause this?
Hp enchants maybe.
Not that, did it unbuffed and it still happened. It has been happening to my Hunter for a long time now.

This was discussed some time ago. The general consensus was that items with +Sta and other such modifiers (even regular modifiers, not actual enchants) don’t get calculated until your character is present in the game world. This means that your base level health on sign-in immediately gets a boost as the game calculates your new health based on all your gear with +sta on it.
As is normal for the game, equipping gear or adding buffs with +Sta does not maintain your health %. Your current HP remains but your max HP increases leading to gap that must heal over.
So it’s totally normal behavior and there is nothing intrinsically wrong with what’s happening. Characters with a lot of +Sta, especially at lower levels, will tend to notice this more than top level characters.

Thank you for the answer. Makes sense I guess. You’d think it could be fixed though.
Definitely could be fixed by changing the order in which things are applied during the character bootstrap into the game world. It could even be argued that it is a bug – but since it doesn’t really impact gameplay it’s hard to believe it will be a priority and such character make-ready steps on the game server can become messy if they try to change it so I can definitely understand their hesitancy to deal with this issue. One wrong move and then you introduce new and more meaningful bugs by not prepping the character correctly.
