I feel like i’m playing ghost simulator , there is nowhere i can go that this isn’t happening. there are raids camping the flight paths and quest hot spots. i feel like i’m being punished for not being able to play 12 hours a day when the game came out. First Blizz took layering away. giving everyone the sacrificed their lives to hit 60 in first two weeks a huge advantage. Taking away layering is a big nerf to leveling speed and resource farming. I agree that layers should come out but maybe it should of had a better plan on doing this. Problem is removing layers when the horde / alliance is unbalanced makes for an un-competitive environment. Not to mention with Phase 2 out a lot of casual player are not 60 yet. so now all the players that leveled and geared early on with little to no resource competition, Having most of their mc gear now have nothing to do but camp flight paths and quest givers. Blizzard already punished casual players with their decisions and timeline.
Now they are rewarding people (Honor) for griefing people that are still in the 40s and 50s. what is Blizz going to do about this id like to know before i keep paying to be griefed. I like pvp but it needs to be competitive and all that is happening is people at the top are slowing others from leveling and their collecting rewards for it, creating a cycle where the people coming up can never get on equal ground. If anyone has ideas on how to fix some this post please.
Your definition of PVP will not be met here. Nothing is going to change anytime soon.
It’s still up to you what you do with you money.
Keep your sub and reroll of PVE. Or unsub and play another game which is more fun to you.
This is how classic works. Should probably quit or reroll on pve
This is what a PvP server does. Especially when it has a very unhealthy population disparity and all PvP rewards are behind the wall of “World PvP kills only”.
BGs are coming out soon.
Time. Time fixes this problem.
The easy fix would be to roll on a normal server or roll a hordie on a pvp server.
Why did Ultra-Casuals roll on PvP servers?
Blizzard provided an option for you… PvE servers where you will never be ganked.
These complaints are getting to be ridiculous.
Punish all the casuals! Bring back sense of achievement and progression for hard work. Stop punishing players who enjoy a challenge because you cant keep up!
not sure what hard work or sense of achievement your talking about. workin hard to kill players 10-1. if you read my post. my problem is not pvp and im not blaming the players. the problem is un balanced populations. My favorite part of the game is pvp i got to rank 12 in vanilla and 3 time gladiator in bc before i stopped playing. i want pvp, i just want it to balanced. if you guys played vanilla you would know this flight path raid thing was never really a thing. there was always pvp hot spots. but this is dumb
Or roll on one of the even/Alliance populated servers if you prefer Alliance.
I can agree with that. Its not like that on herod though. I got body camped for an hour in searing gorge by 10 ally and when any horde came by they would just get stomped or run away xD idk why horde on herod are so afraid. But still i dont care the context, i will never support the word casual in any setting, down woth the casuals!
Instead of casuals would you prefer Dads that wish they had more time to game? i was really just trying to start a conversation where maybe some people would have some good ideas on how to improve this. one thing that i’m seeing that scares me a bit is a lot of people leaving because of this. i don’t want that to happen. i like classic way more than retail and want it to keep a healthy player base so blizzard continues to support it.
Change how you play the game. I play like I’m the rebel forces and the Horde are the empire. You never stay in one place long and you are always moving. Keep to the outer areas where people won’t be. Use bushes and trees to hide. The changes to Spy has made it possible to hide again. Go to where the quests are odd and nothing is there.
Also quests and play in the early morning. 5Am to 10AM is a good time. It’s like normaly wPvP then. I got 35 HKs while questing. I’ve found that on my sever the Horde are getting fat and lazy. You are use to pressing one or two buttons with 10 to 20 other horde and an Alliance explodes… if it’s a 2v1 or 3v1 they don’t know what to do if you don’t die right away. Can almost always take on 2 and get at least one or two of the 3.
DO NOT PLAY BETWEEN 6:30PM and Midnight or 2AM. Even if you are in a 20 man raid you can only live if you keep moving. Was in one last night to keep an area “safe” and no way. Horde came in with 40 people. So PvP groups run gorilla tactics and jump from zone to zone.
and BGs will often be premades vs. pugs
at least it’ll be somewhat difficult to scout for premades, though, so premades will actually fight other premades sometimes
YEP.
There will be so many premades at least on the first week, that scouting will be stupid to do. Only reason why scouting was a thing is because the populations in Vanilla and Private Servers created the situation for it.
Classic will show Vanilla players about phase 3 the same way they show em about phase 2.
I mean I tried to tell you casual players before Classic launched, but yall kept insisting Vanilla was some kind of casual player utopia.
If you couldn’t be bothered to get 60 before the honor patch, yeah, you’re going to get farmed into the ground provided you’re worth honor (and even if you aren’t, people are often too lazy to actually check your level/whether you have an “honorless target” buff coming out of a zone in/flightpath)
Once BGs launch, guess what? It’s not getting any better for you. Anyone in raid gear is going to be 1-2shotting you, consistently… By the time BWL/AQ40 are out, a green/blued out “dungeon is my endgame” player isn’t even a threat to a geared 60. By the time people are AQ40-Naxx geared, even the pvp blue set/low tier epics will put you at a massive disadvantage (though people in that gear range are also 1-2shotting absolutely everyone, even each other, and pvp devolves into a global fest)
This delusion perpetrated by a few of the forum regulars, that Vanilla was some kind of casual “Shangrila” was never anything beyond a fantasy, caused by their own self biases about their own casualness and a rose colored glasses view of the past.
So roll PvE and do battlegrounds. WPVP has never and will never be balanced.
PvE Servers are doing just fine. Camping Questing spots? Plenty of Groups still doing Dungeon content. They can’t camp those that aren’t flagged
Bloated servers and a lot of folks with nothing but time on their hands
It was casual friendly compared to the other MMOs out at the time that had insane punishments for death and far worse grinding.
Vanilla was super casual in its time. Just because you spend a lot of time playing, doesn’t mean it wasn’t casual.
