How come wow doesn’t have this?
Because it’s solely a sub based game and doesn’t have a free to play model? I don’t know, I’m just spitballing.
Leveling is considered by Blizzard to be super easy.
That is considered fun and there for nerfed before it can even start. Devs pat themselves on the back for that one.
To be fair, it really is. Three days of playing for a few hours each and I went from level 10 to 48.
If you can’t handle a days worth of leveling (or split it to three) somethings wrong
EQ does this for most holidays, but they have 120 levels.
Most of them after 65ish are brutal to get through too. Group exp is better, since you can run missions for decent exp, but it’s so empty other than end game that grouping is nearly impossible.
They have mercenaries that you can hire to help, but most people still box just to catch up.
This game really doesn’t compare in the time to level department. It goes pretty quick since SL changes were made though.
This would actually be quite nice to level an alt here or there. But that could reduce sales in there boosts so likely not? I think xp weekens for honor/leveling should be a frequent thing.
(if your a long time player obv leveling an alt is still pretty quick but still would be nice)
Currently it’s +10% XP week if you get a bunch of hats from the Darkmoon Faire
WoW is the only MMORPG I know of that punishes people for grouping up. It’s pretty sad.
Also in EQ, when you die, you lose XP, so sometimes those double XP weekends are needed to get to max level again. Like at max would be max level plus 99%. I can remember raiding, dying a lot, and coming close to losing a level which would negate some of my raid gear. I’m so happy that in WoW I only have to worry about repairs on gear upon death.
