… or give us the ability to reset our profession specialization points like once per week or something.
OR maybe you should of taken that “choices are permanent” thing to heart and bothered to research your tree’s before blindly clicking stuff
I didn’t blindly put points in anything, I put points where I needed them - now I need just 1 point to get the next thing, but I’ve killed literally everything on the Dragon Isles that I can force-spawn, or is already spawned, that drops the Dragon Shard of Knowledge - to not receive a single one.
And considering there’s hundreds and hundreds of points to put in each profession, and the attainability of Specialization Points tapers off as you craft everything you can craft for the first craft bonus, it’s just not a consistent method of getting specialization points.
But thanks for your completely useless input.
Professions are time gated. Just wait until next week.
Dragon Shards of Knowledge are not timegated though, they’re just random drops. My demon hunter got like 14 in one week, my evoker who actually needs to be able to use them, only 2 this week.
Not everyone can predict the future like you bud, nobody expected awakened orders to go from 4k to 500g in 2 weeks
… Or increase the amount of knowledge points you gain from them.
They’re too rare to be worth a measly one point when you can already get one-pointers on the regular from other sources.
Stop thinking whatever you’re thinking about this and buy a WoW token, thanks!
This is also a great idea. Maybe even have varying degrees. The Epic should do 3 points, whilst a rare one could do 2 and a common one do 1 point.
dragon shards of knowledge are stupid. some rare epic drop item and it only gives one point. like wth lol
I’m not sure what a WoW Token has to do with Dragon Shard of Knowledge, to be honest.
You should buy a WoW token rn
I agree. Buying WoW tokens is the solution to all problems.
That’s working as intended. You’re only a month or so into the expansion, you’re not supposed to be maxed out on your knowledge.
I’m not looking to be maxed out, I’m looking for a higher chance of a seemingly abundant item (considering they drop from 1.7 million things) in which will prevent the tapering down of points being attained by not being able to get first craft bonuses on everything. The idea of getting like 200 specialization points in the first month - and then any time after that it’s like, what… 10, 15 per week tops, if you’re SUPER lucky? The Dragon Shard Knowledge items were clearly added in to the game as a farmable commodity to maintain the curve of growth in professions, but they’re too sporadically dropped for the worthless one point it gives you.
Have you considered that they’re meant to be a soft catch up mechanic? I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that their likelihood of dropping is tied to how many of them you’ve already found, versus the week of expansion we are currently on.
In order for it to be a soft catchup mechanic, you have to actually see some. I’ve seen 2 on my evoker in about a week and a half.
This is more of an asthmatic limp mode catchup mechanic.
Typical blizzard being cruel to player bases, insider knowledge shares to their friends to get a jump on the average joe is par for the course , … now the rest of the community suffers while the early insiders enjoyed the bounty of our mistakes and lack of knowledge to amass larger than usual quantities of a valued limited resource, which is now even more limited… its rigged…
Yeah, just like covenants! A very popular feature to iter- … er, wait.
( disclaimer: I don’t mind the specialization trees personally, but I think there are some parallels with the reaction to those “meaningful choices” last expansion )
