I was watching JB on Twitch, and he mentioned double dipping Double Tap, if that makes sense. Something like this: you get a LnL proc. > cast Double Tap > cast Rapid Fire > push Aimed Shot while Rapid Fire is channeling … I think that was it, and you get the benefit of Double Tap on both RF & AS. That’s the first I’d heard of it.
This probably existed for a while but was never used because in bfa clipping rapid fire would prevent the azerite haste buff. If it does work that’s pretty cool.
Im pretty sure I had this happen just yesterday. it was right before I logged off so i honestly didnt even give it much thought. now Ill have to test it lol
I’ll login real quick and test. Time for a break from work. I’ll edit this and report.
Confirmed, Proc, Double Tap, Rapid Fire, Aimed shot to cancel end of Rapid Fire, Double Tapped Aim shot fires.
Im sure they will fix it but thats awesome!!
So much fun for PvE.
For PvP, it is going to be super fun and scary. Totally on the move 8-12k chunky hits that you’d have to be pretty darn quick to counter.
Yeah, it’s a hell of a lot of fun… effective and satisfying.
I know it is a bug, but maybe it will stay? While it adds damage to the chain, you have to hold on to rapid fire after cooldown to use it, sometimes for a length of time. It probably isn’t nearly as a big of a dps increase, but does provide non-camo burst on situation in PvP at the expense of less rapid fires (due to holding the ability) and slight focus loss due to holding.
I was only thinking of its pvp usage, and in that context, my approach is to take it when I can get it, i.e., not to bother fishing for it.
