Extensively played mage in OG vanilla and you could 100% cast ice block in OG vanilla and instantly tap again to clear block. This was done in both PVE and PVP as a method to clear debuffs and keep casting.
This game is using the 2.0+ (TBC Style rules) now allowing this behavior.
You can circumvent the issue by more creative means but I should not need to do so with macro abuse.
Some other annoying TBC Combat rules that Era is using that have caused me problems are.
- TBC’s PVP out of combat timer; the Vanilla one drops combat instantly after a PVP target dies, not 7 sec later forcing me to wait when already OOM Vs a dot caster like an SP. Out of combat timer in PVP also drops combat in OG Vanilla while the target is allive after 5 sec assuming you have not attacked the PVP target with any spells or attacks. Right now we are using the TBC one and seems to last about 7 sec… Very annoying that I have to wait 7 sec after sheep to drink when I should only need to wait 5 sec.
- Cannot buff non-faction “Friendly” targets. (TBC era change) This was clearly done to prevent PVE griefing, but its not authentic.
