So not only do we keep this worthless mastery but we’re also losing a CC counter and the only thing that prevented our teammates from instantly flopping

Good change imo. It was oppressive to play against. Now Resto Shamans may need more nerfs on top of the Riptide one, we'll see.
Holy Paladins are already the weakest PvP healer and now they massively nerf us...
Unless they compensate us by buffing us elsewhere this will kill Holy Paladins.
100% crit Holy Shocks and a new Mastery will be a good start.

Holy Pal is currently the second best healer in 3v3 after shaman. Shaman is getting nerfed as well via the removal of Rippling Waters (an overpowered PvP talent). Shaman will likely remain the best healer, but yea.

We were the second best healer. With thie change and nothing else we will no longer be competitive. This was the only thing keeping us in games. Without it we will flop on every second go.
We are not weak at the moment but this change ruins our class.
Sac is the only tool we have to avoid cc.
Sac in its current form is extremely punishable.

Yes but almost all of those H pal's are running RMPala.
These nerfs will make RMP and RMD more sought after instead of always seeking an H pal for the comps.
They literally buffed our other pvp talents to Nerf a really important one for us. It makes taking double blessings no longer viable vs purge teams which is all you face.
If Divine vision and cleanse the weak actually worked, the Nerf wouldn't hurt so bad, but I doubt they'll fix our aura bug issues with cleanse the weak.

Having low throughput will no longer cut it for hpals with this change.
Also dispel protection will be 100% required if we are losing a cooldown. It's bad enough that half our CDs get instantly dispelled right now, but another one of the few that can't be dispelled is gone?

I think what’s absolutely insane is that Double sac isn’t even gamebreaking, but losing it is. I’ll admit that it’s bad gameplay to have “must pick” talents, but what else does pally even provide after double sac is gone? Take away double freedom and BoP and I’d still take double sac with ultimate sac because our throughput is so abysmal that i can’t possibly keep up without it.
I like the changes to divine favor, but it’s probably not enough. Make it undispellable. Boost pally throughout baseline.

At high ratings every comp has a purge and everyone knows to purge it.

The only saving grace is Divine vision and cleanse the weak should now, in theory, if they work correctly, allow us to cleanse effectively all disease, poisons, and most magic debuffs with 15% base shadow damage reduction.
So against rot comps we should be good. Unfortunately we are the worst dampening healer and rot comps usually play dampening, so we still suck.

This is an incredibly discouraging nerf to Holy Paladins in pvp. I'm passionate about arenas, but am admittedly not amazing or anything like that. However, I know we have low throughput on healing, we're easily CC'd, and double Sac was one of the only things I felt that me able to compete. I don't have access to crazy comps yet, I can only run reliably with a ret paladin and an arms warrior. Blizzard, please consider some sort of redesign for Holy Paladins. I agree with other people posting about our mastery, or at the very least for now not nerfing this pvp talent.
Other healers can hot up their targets and run away, or mistweaver monks can put down their statue and heal completely out of line of sight. Our "hide behind the pillar game" to avoid CC will be even worse if double blessings is going to get nerfed. I feel like every other healer is better in almost every situation, with the exception of Resto Shamans in PVE.

Posting on these forums is like screaming into the abyss, sadly it does not look like anything will change.
Iwas really looking forward to sticking around this xpack and 'taking my game to the next level' as I always get to around 2200-2400 then quit. But sadly with all the healer nerfs I may be quitting again soon.
Damage has never higher and all the healers but holy priest are getting nerfed.

Yes. Getting harder to want to keep wanting to play as a healer in this game. PvP is not as much fun as an Hpal as it used ot be. We keep loosing abilities and not getting anything back. Remember when we had a kick and denounce? Now that was fun. Remember when we had a hot and we could use wings more than once in a match. That was hot. Remember when we had double sac so we did not flop on the other teams second go..that was legit. !@#$ forget Classic we are halfway there after the next patch with Hpal.
I mean come one. I might just switch mains to a dps spec where at least I can do world quest, islands and warfronts without having to change specs 3 times a day so I can do all the content.

Shock is on CD, you are facing a rms and the mage gets a pyro off. Gg you lost because they can make kill setups every 30 seconds without even trying and your dps is about to lose 60% of his health in a global.
The arena setting right now is so insanely toxic because almost everything, even aff locks are set up around bursting something inside a three to four second window yet they wont give us the tools to counter it.
