Double Priest Nerf....

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20768986779

Priest
-Discipline
-Smite damage reduced by 9%.
Holy
-All healing reduced by 3%.
Shadow
-Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Touch damage increased by 20%.

I guess all the QQ made its way to blizzards ears. If they dont boost the thoughput on disc, they wont be able to heal anyone.

IDK whats up with the holy nerf :(

The buff to shadow was nice, but I dont see it really fixing anything.
Disc should have only been nerfed pvp side...this was stupid
I mean, I knew Disc was gonna get nerfed but I just assumed pvp. Wtf?
It kind of makes sense that smite was adjusted to allow Penance to have more of a place in our healing, though I would have rather they buffed Penance instead ;P

I can't say I'm too worried about 9% though. Bring it on!

~Lil
Doesn't seem like a big deal tbh.
Doesn't directly address any issue each of the specs were having in specific content, but what did we expect? Blizzard not to just spin a big wheel with 100 options and pick the one it landed on? Look at the other changes too for the other classes.. Affliction demon glare reduction? ROFL where the hell did they pull that one from.
Paladin
Holy
Holy Light and Flash of Light healing increased by 7%.

Priest
Discipline
Smite damage reduced by 9%.

First, pre patch you nerf Disc's dot and Smite damage.
Second, you nerf our Azerite trait for Smite.
And you nerf Smite again after that.

But you feel Holy Paladin needed some love. Ridiculous beyond words.

Obviously none of you know what a Holy Paladin can do healing AND dps wise. I'd suggest your developers actually get out there and play these classes because this wreaks with incompetence.

Penance might still be so mediocre to still only cast it on proc. Some one bring on the math...
Serious M+ pushing starts next week. Gotta make sure Paladins stay on top!
They have nerfed disc smight damage 20ish % now. They need to add though put if it is going to be a viable spec for healing mythic +.

IDK why they nerfed holy, and the shdaow love is nice, but its not fixing the spec.
Blizz really showing their laziness with this.

Came here wondering the same thing...
Not surprised by the nerfs

Only surprised they didn't hit Mistweaver as well. Someone on the dev team absolutely has a hard on for that spec, apparently.

What, the expansion? Yeah

Oh, you just meant the tuning. Well. That too.
Could do with a Penance buff, IMO.

Why on earth they nerfed HPriest is beyond me.
The nerf to Disc is really, really minimal.

Compared to what Mend? The nerf is -20% since pre patch and we use to say the Azerite trait would smooth it all out.

I'd say -20% isn't anywhere near trivial even if we all agree Disc was pretty OP in beta.

Sure, we'll all go on but the fact that the idiots in development thought to increase Holy Paladin while nerfing us is mind boggling.
Holy Paladin outdped Disc before the nerf. WTF is Blizz doing? Holy is the top 5-man healer. Why do they get buffed even more? Honestly the constant smite nerfs are getting stupid.
Unfortunate to see that holy priest is being balanced around Holy Word: Salvation. They gave priests two raid heal cooldowns when every other class only has one. So... Nerf all healing done by 3%.

I feel like this is just going to end up in more holy priest nerfs down the line while they refuse to address holy word: salvation. As ilvls get higher, the difference between priests and other healers in raids is just going to get bigger and bigger until they nerf Holy's overall healing again.
This tuning was for raids. Pallies are dirt bottom throughput healers for raids, almost 20% less than top (Holy priest). They want all specs within 10% of each other. Nerf the top, buff the bottom is exactly how you do that.

I get that keystone dungeons add a whole 'nother dimension to tuning, but they have to tune around something, and for PvE it's always been raids.
