Double gathering Acuity

Trying to figure out if I’m missing something but as mining and herbing I don’t have any way to gain more artisan acuity outside the 30 you get from the weekly quests? How am I supposed to get blue quality equipment and the knowledge point books if I only get 30 a week? Really at a loss here and feel I gotta be missing something. I did the first quest from the crafting order people for the 350 but that seems like it was one time only.

Just from the KP drops/treasures you get. Penguin did a video about how many you get per week You get a small amount of AA from each one.

Dang it gonna take months to get enough for all the books and profession equipment at that rate

That also means you need at least one gathering sortie per week to get those KPs. That means mats to sell. More mats in the ah. Ets, etc, etc

You get 55kp/week mining and 60kp/week herbalism for a total of 115kp. You got 350kp from the initial quest in dornogal.

You need 1800 kp for the rare tools.
You need 1800 kp for the knowledge books from the artisans - though the gathering ones are 15kp and you get 75kp back. So it works out at 1350kp total.

Total needed 3150kp. Which if you dont miss any weeks is about 28 weeks.

Yeah thats rough…half a year to get all the stuff. I get not wanting people to max out in the first couple weeks but 28 weeks seems extreme…

They really should have NPC buy orders that award an amount of acuity for turning in a pile of gathered mats. Have a limited amount per week of course, but this would at least let double gatherers get enough acuity to make their tools in a reasonable amount of time.

You can have your tools a lot sooner than crafters! Hell you can have your tools AND the cooking and fishing ones before crafters!

Please elaborate…

Not sure it is harder for crafters. My gatherer has earnt 500 AA so far total, some of my crafters have earnt significantly more than that.

Most Crafters have to buy recipes with AA.

Many crafters. few exceptions I know, have to buy recipes. My tailor for IE. I bought the herbalist hat recipe then decked out my herbalists with it for skill ups with the initial 350 reward quest. Top of my head, Il have the chanting hat to purchase same for the fisherman hat, and a bag recipe for every single profession in the game! I can pause the purchase to go for the tools sure but eventually I WILL have to buy those recipes and be chasing AA.

Gatherer? Sure no WOs to get AA. But you get some by gathering… And selling the result of your gathering sorties. The books can delay you but that is IT!

For a dual gatherer to make four profession tools and buy all the skill up books it will take more than a year.

Did the math in another thread and it came to 95 acuity per week for dual gather. Just for the tools thats 6 tools total at 300 aa each. 1800 aa total, -350 from the intro quest. 1450 aa still to get just for the tools. The books are 200+300+400+50+50= 1000 aa. So you are looking at 2450 aa. All in all, 26 weeks more or less. So half a year, assuming you do not miss a week. You also have the cooking and fishing gear!

want to - not have to.

If you really want to be quicker to have some blue quality tool/equipment, you can switch one of the gathering professions to a crafting profession and get the amount of artisan acuity you need, then switch back…of course this would take time and cost gold (enchanting is the one I learned on my double gathering character).
