How many actual Dottie’s out there use the spelling with an ie?! I know there aren’t many. But they never spell it right do they…?
(Yes, I get the Dolly and Dotty thing but still…)

They really should have used the “ie” spelling for the new pet.
Now the name collides with an NPC: Dotty, Vin’s dog.
So, there are two pets named Dotty. That’s not at all confusing.

Ive legit always seen it spelled ie.
This y thing in names seems to be a more recent thing.
