Quest is bugged. portal not showing/being cast. abandoned multiple times and relogged.

I also came here to report same thing, abandoned and picked up 14x before she finally completed the portal cast without being interrupted or just not even casting it. She either just vanished and appeared at the portal spot and tried to cast the portal but said interrupted, tried to run there then appeared there, started running, or started running, jumped then appeared there. For me she just appeared there and so did the portal which finally let me in.

This was happening to me and as soon as i did not target her, after reloading into the area, it worked.

Also, pacify the area because trolls are just spamming every single toy in their toybox to be obnoxious to the point you can’t tell what is even going on.

I just closed down all of my addons and went back into the room and the portal was there.
Yeah no, no matter what I do there’s no portal. You also can’t see anything in that room at all with everyone piled up together.
i tried about 15 times by abandoning and retrying. Finally switched to War Mode and it worked first try. I think its the abundance of players in that area that is causing the issue
Abandoned, quit to desktop, took quest again and same issue. Bugged and no workaround does the trick for everyone.
It does seem to be working for some, judging by my guild chat.
War mode seems to fix the issue.
The quest was bugged for me as well at 6:05pm CST. I tried removing and regaining the quest, removing, relogging, regaining, and having the quest, logging out, and back in and none of that worked.
One of the other comments said they left the area and came back, so I went back through the teleporter while having the quest and when I got back to Alleria, she finished her cast and I was able to use the portal. Hope that helps someone.

Yep, same here. Alleria is doing the stance where she makes the portal but then nothing pops up. For the record though, someone did say to walk back up the stairs if you’re standing near her, and it might trigger the portal to open for you.
Well, it seems like it’s definitely volume related. I can’t do it in MoonGuard but I did it with one of my alts in Emerald Dream just fine with fewer players trying to do it and the same in Thorium with another alt who could see the portal.
Speak for yourself. I had 20+ players around me at every attempt, even when I was successful there were many players around me. Try leaving the area to the teleporter and coming back in while having the quest.
Well it’s good that this worked for you, but I just tried again in MoonGuard with your teleporter thing and nada.
Emerald Dream and Thorium didn’t require any workarounds to do it–It just worked immediately as intended in those two servers.
Tried abandoning the quest a few times to get it to work, and now Alleria straight up disappeared and I can’t accept it again. This is awful lmao.
For my part, just as you guys, she didn’t spell the portal, I abandonned the quest but I also left Dalaran for a minute and when I came back, I was not able to even access the Aegwynn’s galery where the quest starts. The place just disapeared and there is a plazza instead with a fountain… Maybe it’s me, but I’m stuck now…I don’t know what to do
