When the time comes, as they already allow us to transfer to Dreamscythe, will you be transferring your toons to the PvE realm to go back to TBC?
Let’s instead keep asking for HC to progress into TBC as well. I won’t budge. HC is my poison.
Also I want to know if TBC is there to stay or will progress into Wrath and eventual Cata. If this is the case, I delete all the nameholders I made on the Anniversary servers - aka. not going to play there before we know what’s in the future.
I’d love two things, Hardcore to progress to TBC or Draenei and Blood Elves are allowed in regular Hardcore (no Dark portal shenanigans). Draenei Shamans and Blood Elf Paladins just use regular classic Talents.
I am definitely a Hardcore player, I just want more! It’s addictive, fun, I just wish they added something fresh to the regular hardcore experience.
I too would also love this. Except not on Doomhowl. It must be on a server where you know from the start that it’s going to progress. It sucks to have another WoTLK server progress to cata. When that happened I logged onto the cata server, saw it changed and alt+f4ed out.
permanent tbc era +tbc hardcore!!! just like we have with vanilla!!!
Why? I have my “name-holders” ready, and I am just going to roll Draenei and Bef if Doomhowl (Soluseeker for us EU players) progresses to TBC.
I would SO like Eras - also HC - for TBC and Wrath as well. Cata can go
Because, I went into Doomhowl expecting it NOT to progress. I’m ok with progression only if it’s known from the release of the server.
You answer my question “Why don’t you want progress?” with the same statement reworded. I still am curious as to why?
I would only want progress to TCB and Wrath and this includes Era servers for both.
NO Cata!
I am not going to once again have all my toons buried in the Shattering. Then better stay in the old realms and not experience TBC or Wrath ever again.
Because, when I start on a server I want the server to stay what was claimed on what it was from the start. I hate bait and switch.
Then you should never have rolled on the Anniversary servers at all. Blizz stated: We say this and that, but we’re going to listen to player feedback.
I get your sentiment, I never thougt original Classic was ever going to progress - and I would never ever have imagined not being given TBC Era servers.
I’ll just re quote.
Yeah, I get this. You repeated like three times now.
I repeat my question, now worded slightly different: Why do we need three Era/Classic HC servers? What is wrong with letting the Anniversary one progress to TBC if you and anybody else wanting it is given FCT to the Era HC servers?
Blizz from the start of the Anniversray said they would listen to feedback, so … And they do not exactly have a record of keeping us informed, or keeping their word.
In your place I would have stayed away from the Anniversary servers.

- EDIT
Well, I did stay away from the Anniversary servers, but for a different erason. I fervently hope they go back on their words and progress the HC server to TBC. This is in my opinion the only reason for Anniversary servers to even exist in the first case … to give us TBC Era servers, also of the HC variety.
I’m not against hc bc servers. I’m against the idea of progressing without it being explicitly stated from the start. I’m playing on the anniversary servers, due mostly to instant mail between alts. And, the popularity will allow me to get into dungeon groups. Without the instant mail (which they should have left out) my interest in the anniversary server would have been null.
WHY? That was the way they did wiht Classic as well. Is it just a case of once bitten, twice shy?
If they’re going to release a hcbc server, why not make it fresh hcbc where it doesn’t progress? That way we can start our blood elf/draenei without a flooded economy? If they put instant alt mail on the original hc servers, I really wouldn’t care if Doomhowl progresses. Right now Doomhowl is the only option for instant alt mail. I play hc as a roguelike. Where I mail all but 2g to my bank at all times. Including cloth and gems, ect. It sucks having to wait an hour for mail.
I prefer PvP servers. So probably not. It either needs to be HC or PvP. Playing a PvE server without Hardcore of a 20 year old game sounds extremely boring to me.
No progress - after the initial through the TBC phases - is what I’m hoping for.
Economy is of no consequence to me as I always play at least Death=Delete, sometimes with more self imposed challenges, and I have done so since joining the IronMan community in 2012, so “Normie-WoW” has lost any attraction to me.
I do not know what a roguelike is - and googling just makes me confused on a higher plane
I sure would love a perma-TBC and a perma Wrath server for this purpose. I do not much like the concept for the Anniversary servers - what I call servers without realms - and I would prefer new servers PLURAL! for TBC, but most of all in order to avoid layering.
If you hate the wait for mail, a friend is the best way to go.
So yes to sum it up, a new set of realms for an Era TBC (and Wrath) would sit fine with me. NoChanges would be the very best!
If you avoid layering, you end up with dead worthless servers. You NEED layering at the start. Layering keeps the servers population up high, as you need a high pop to do dungeons and raids.
If this should happen, I’d prefer merging. I HATE layering.
What is your personal issue with layering? For me, it’s a great alternative to dungeon spam. Where I can attempt to get away from other people grinding mobs I want.
