I was just wondering for those who have farmed the Doomed Crown of Lei Shen if you knew of a method of manipulating the drop rate on this (or what the actual drop rate of this is?)
I’ve been running this six times a week on different characters desperately trying to get this to drop.
Can I set the dungeon to 10 man or normal difficulty to procure a higher drop rate?
This item is a nightmare!!!
Run it on 25, normal or heroic, on all your characters.
Then queue them all up for the last wing of lfr for ToT.
Or do it the other way around. At least the lfr’s will be quicker.
The helm looks the same on all difficulties.
Wait you can LFR it?
Unless something has changed, I’m pretty sure ToT is one of those raids that you can only complete on one non-LFR difficulty per reset.
And yes, it can be done on LFR too. The NPC to queue for that is in the top of Mogu’shan Palace (Vale of Eternal Blossoms) where the rest of the Lorewalkers are hanging out.
So you have two chances per week per character to get the appearance. I don’t think it matters whether you do the non-LFR run on normal or heroic since the helmet looks the same regardless of difficulty.
So choose the difficulty(norm/heroic) that will give you other transmog in the colors you want. If you want to be completely insane, you can use roll tokens, too.
