How do you justify to a player putting in hours every week to MAX 2 ROWS of the vault on 2 character, and not have 1 single tier pc in 3 weeks on 2 characters? Running 8 x 15+ or higher keys and raiding and not one damn tier pc???
And some ppl have 4 pc bonuses??? Blizzard clearly doesnt care about the time we putting into the game. I have finally had enough and will join the others that are leaving for better games that have devs that give a crap about the time ppl invest in their game
Back in Vanilla, TBC, LK, gear drops were less frequent than today, just saying. When an upgrade did drop, and you actually won the roll, you were very happy.
This is actually a fairly common idea, and it would actually be better a situation if tier were as scarce as you described here. The problem isn’t simply that people are getting tier while others aren’t; it’s that a lot of folks with similar engagement are getting tier, and a few outliers with similar engagement aren’t. If there isn’t a lot of tier going around, that’s one thing. If tier is ubiquitous, save for a terribly unlucky few, that’s poor (or cruel, which also poor) probability design.
Bad luck is bad luck. I opened my vault on my main and had an option of a 252 gloves (I already had lfr version) from 1 of my raid slots (can’t remember the other options), and for m+ I had options of 278/278/272 and inside was tier chest / margraves cloak / tier pants. I already had a 259 tier chest, so happily took the lower ilvl tier pants to put me 3/5 tier. My alt had 4 options and didn’t get any tier at all. Sucks, but again, luck is luck.
Luck is guidable, and they tuned content in the patch around tier. Your argument is fine for rare mounts. With the idea in mind that tier will be available anyway on 4/12, the fact that it’s possible within the design for people with complete engagement to go 0/4 that whole time is trashy and weird. This system is mostly a miss if you’re concerned about the player experience.
I think we’re at the point now where you guys should be saying “players HAVE LEFT in droves” because either my understanding of “in droves” is different from yours or Wow had like 100 million players during Shadowlands
There’s no way people could still be leaving in droves after all this time, the game should have like 5 players left if people have been leaving in droves the entire expansion.
The likelihood of getting a mount is much, much lower. The likelihood of someone getting 0 tier while doing content that could procure it is pretty high. I feel I’ve been fairly unlucky considering how much vault I’ve opened up. Everyone in my playgroup that is doing as much as I am to get tier either already has their 4pc or was at 3 before today. Everyone else in my playgroup who is sitting at 0 to 2 pieces is either only raiding, only doing m+, or only doing arena’s.
Yup, I don’t even want to bother anymore with dealing with other players in SL multiplayer content if this is the horrible drip feed reward blizzard spurns me with.
Not only do they block me from getting tier pieces from m+, because it’s too hard for me to find people to prog and actually learn a raid, they spurn me extra with valor caps and giving no reroll mechanic for the vault.
Think I’ll just be filling in old xpacs not playing with other people til blizzard gets the message they’ve gated out people from actually feeling anything from their latest xpac.
Back to being guildless and just clearing out old xpac solo questing content here I goooo. Blizzard trolling pushing any current content.
Have not gotten tier yet and I’m doing normal raiding right now…I will hop on tonight and play around…but it’s not that important anymore to me “the world will not end if I don’t get a tier piece”"…the next expansion everything will be erased anyway so…there’s that.
