So I’ve tested this. A lot of people (myself included0 thought your alts would have the same cloak stats. That’s not the case. Here are some hopefully helpful notes on how the cloak works:
- You get the achievements infinite Power (“IP”) I-XII by having a certain number of “threads”
- What counts as a thread seems to be determined by the rarity of the thread. IIRC greens are 4, blues 7, purples 12;
- You start getting blue threads at level 50, purple threads at level 75;
- When an alt is created they will start with a certain number of threads based solely on your highest IP achievement;
- If you later gain a higher IP achievement, it is NOT retroactive to alts. That means if you crate an alt when your highest is IP6 and you then gain IP10, your previously created alts will still have the same number of threads;
- At IP9 (IIRC) I think I was +16% XP For a n alt;
- Just now I created an alt now that I have IP12. It has +150 Agi, +750 Sta, +100% XP (Hunter);
- At ~5500 threads now I am +334 Agi, +3200 Sta, +240-380 for secondary stats and +130% XP;
- Stamina threads are by far the most common. XP threasd rare (IME) the rarest. You may get luckier with these but given I’m now just shy of level 70, it doesn’t really matter anymore.
The tl;dr is get level 70 and IP11 before you creat any alts. That’s the most efficient path anyway.
As a side note, you don’t get jewelry drops. these come from getting achievements. They are:
- A trinket (3 prismatic slots) from completing 3/6 Heroic scenarios;
- A ring (3 prismatic slots) from completing 6/6 Heroic scenarios;
- A trinket (3 prismatic slots) from getting to level 70;
- A ring (IIRC) (3 prismatic slots) from completing all 9 Heroic dungeons
- A necklace (3 prismatic slots) from completing all 5 reaids on Normal or higher difficulty
These achievements are character-specific unfortunately.
EDIT: I previouisly incorrectly stated that these achievements are account wide. I’ve just cheked with an alt. They are not.
EDIT2: corrected to say IP11 as the last one to give alts rheads. As a commenter below stated, IP12 just gives toys.
