I decided to start doing pvp. Hardly ever done it before; mostly solo and questing and playing wow on and off since original release. Thought WSG would be a good way to start. Rolled an orc hunter, leveled her to 12, spent a couple hours getting The Rake just cause it’s fun hunting a named, geared up and twinked as much as I could with only lvl 30s alts and a few gold total on all of them.
Queued WSG last night for the first time. One-shotted a bunch of times, tagged enough to get a few HP (to my surprise).
Horde lost.
As the group was disbanding, someone shouted out the quote in my title.
Posting this just to get peoples’ opinions on that opinion.
Thanks.

If you can queue for it, it’s fair game as far as I’m concerned. Unless you’re Twinking, who really cares about outcomes in low level brackets?

The only people who care are twinks. And lets be honest, their opinions don’t matter.

Just the min/maxers crying. I had the same experience on a lvl 13 druid. Why am I able to queue if I wasn’t meant to participate in the experience? It’s not our fault the min/maxers/twinks ruined it.

You do you. Elitists are always jerks. Have fun at 12 m8! You did absolutely nothing wrong.

My opinion is queue whatever level you want cause no one can stop you from doing that even if you make some enemies
But it is important to keep in mind that if your goal is to be conducive to team victory and you are at a level that is consistently one-shotted, then it might not be a solid goal
On the other hand, however, if your goal is to play and not care about being conducive to your team’s victory, then carry on
TL;DR don’t worry about anyone’s opinion and play the way you want to play within the rules of the game

I’m pretty sure level 11 twinks were a thing back in teh day. I don’t remember why… but there was some gimmick they were exploiting.

The bullies … er I mean twinks … seem to have been nicer than normal, ignore them. make them lose … it’s fun

Don’t take criticism from someone you would not seek out for advice

I’d just start trolling all the twinks by grabbing the flag and trying to run it at lvl 10.

Don’t even try to run it… just pick it up and stay in their base

You can pvp at any level in any bracket. Just know that if you’re in the lower brackets, and you’re not twinked, you will not be having any fun. Twinks have taken over the 19, 29, and 39 brackets. 10-19 is especially bad. 75% of all wsg at that level has a premade on 1 side or the other. If you’re not a twink, if you’re not exploiting the terrain, and if your group has less healer twinks, you will get your butt kicked.
So when someone says not to queue at L10. Ignore them, they’re being jerks. But also know what you’re getting into.

I played AV yesterday at 52. Continually got pwned by 60’s but occasionally I was in the thick of the fight. Didn’t care either way since I was laughing so hard the whole time, remembering how much fun AV can be.

That was just another idiot “gamer” raging because he lost. I have no problems with level 10s (or 20s, 30s, etc.) queuing just be a part of the team. If you can heal heal, if you’re dps or even tank spec don’t try to solo too much but sneak up on an enemy when they are attacking someone else. Be bait too, that helps the team. Just don’t try to run the flag full field; however if you can get the flag out of the FR and hand off to a higher level player because the enemy is trying to cap that helps too.
TLDR let the criers cry.

Do it if you like… but that experience is going to be very common in the lowest bracket. I don’t mean the berating, I mean the getting rekt.

You can do what you want, but at that level even the non-twinks that are 17-19 are likely to crush you. You can queue up at level 10, but you can also enter WC at level 10.

Lvl 1 and lvl 10 thinks came up in TBC. Since you just stacked agility on a Rogue and it made your dodge chance like 99.9 since you had so much agility at a low lvl. They then brought out item levels and got rid of the gear that didn’t have a level requirement and it destroyed the twinkling community. For the most part.
