In shuffle how do you tell the Glads from other players???
Easy, the glads used Focus macros to cc the healer.
no thats pretty standard now maybe 6 years ago people didnât but the average wow player does now
Right but people are bad or make mistakes in different ways now.
Like watching multi gald r1 BlizzCon competitors thinking theyâre âsafeâ in darkness then die to melee because the melee hit them with a cc and ran behind them to finish and negate the dodge chance from darkness. Meanwhile said healer sits on trinket and major defensives while his team tunnels and lets him die.
If thatâs a 1400 or 3k player itâs a massive series of errors which is going to make it easier for the enemy team to get a win. Lots of people are decent at key binding, god awful at understanding how to respond with cooldowns to a go or even what CCS to use to make sure the healer canât use an out or just cast around said cc (mw being able to cocoon while stunned but not silence para etc) to make sure that their go is executed cleanly.
For some reason heals at all the different levels I play at all get really stuck on this. The enemy team comes in, eventually gets cc on someone and goes, full send. Maybe one external gets used. Someone predictability dies. Healer rages about game while not actually playing said game.
DPS are just as bad and Iâm right there making a lot of mistakes as well, but I recognize these are my issues not class balance issues.
As the player base has picked up the tricks r1s use people didnât use addons for PVP or like any macros it trickles down into the lower ranks and makes the game more complex as knowledge gets around from the top-down thatâs kind of why its a lot harder for new players to get into wow pvp because they down know what the general public thinks is basic at this point
like all the info you need is out there but will the 1k-1400 players go out of their way to learn it probably not
pvp is pretty scripted even SS
was coaching a friend in discord in SL (i didnât que with him during) who was ur average 1600 player showed him when to press offensive / defensive when to go out and in targets and he shot up to 2k-2.2k
Season is deflated because no one is playing it. No one is playing it because itâs deflated. Itâs a really bad revolving door.
Sure! Gladiator players are no exception to this rule. And that can be punished in different ways by different specs/comps.
I fought a 2x shuffle r1, mglad & 1 time R1 ret/warrior/rsham mainteam the other day as boomy/demo. They were obviously good players and had synergy as a team since Iâve seen them play together since shadowlands and possibly longer.
They let my warlock box out the enemy healer and let my healer stand in the middle of the map on ruins of lord for like 4 straight minutes until we won and just RAN at me. They didnât CC the healer the same time they CCd me, the warrior would send his go when the ret was in cc or out of range, the warrior didnât save reflect or leap defensively, just straight gas pedaled the guy who could reliably kite them.
Given they theyâre all 2100+ and have solid winrates, this obviously works for them most games and those guys CRANKED when they connected, played really well individually in terms of offense, and traded instantly with defensives.
Most players have gaps in one part of their skillset or another and thatâs why no one wins every game. Even the best players can be really really lacking in one area or another.
I swear they actively avoid it but that isnât just the 1400 players either, I see plenty of people on glad drakes/dragon riding mounts learning this same lesson.
I fully believe this, most people really get hung up on that sort of thing.
Truth, I find the punishment gets moreâŠcreative the higher the mmr lol. Heals genuinely lose it when I kill them in a swap at my basement mmr.
You havenât lived till you read a rage whisper from an rdruid about how spriest needs nerf because they grew roots in the mid and never used a defensive or even bothered to notice that I purged the hots off pre swap.
Dunno about shuffle, but 3v3 mmr is JUICED right now. Itâs comparable to S1
Okay, I gotta unpack this. Darkness does not have a dodge component whatsoever, so you cannot negate it by going behind them.
Thatâs not a r1/mglad thing, thatâs like a 1200 demon hunter thing o.O
Thatâs not how darkness works my friend. ![]()
Right thatâs not what the wording says but Iâm under the impression thatâs how the ability works. âAvoidâ damage vs âImmune to.â
As I recall itâs a chance to have the damage be absorbed, which makes it more valuable into small hits and unreliable into big ones. Retwarr, sub or mm highrolls and 2-3 hits you through it whereas a dot based go is more consistently blunted.
Your impression would be incorrect. It has a 50% chance to absorb the entirety of the damage from any ability. There are 0 positional requirements with relation to other players. If youâre in the dark, it has a chance to absorb, regardless of where you are facing.
I like this idea actually. If youâve hit glad on your account in a current expansion, Your main and your alts start at 2100mmr, Because letâs be honest, a gladiator is going to get back to 2100. If you ended as a duelist in a current expansion, then your main and all your alts start at 1800mmr in the next season ( and so on ) until that expansion ends
Wow thatâs somehow even worse than what I originally thought. If it was full absorb for the duration fine, but a chance? Yikes. Guess that explains all the Netherwalkers I fight on my rogue lol.
Yes 50% chance to absorbs best used at high hp before a go.
For example, as a DH I see Iâm off stun DR, my healer gets polyd, my teammate gets stunned/feared by rogue or priest, they are about to do a swap to me I drop darkness before hand. They do their go and I come out of it (depending on the big hits it absorbed) at 40-60% hp.
You see a lot of netherwalkers because itâs a cheap talent early in the tree and itâs better than desperate instincts. Demon hunters die to burst damage. For sustained damage they can kite or repositions. They are vulnerable to bursts and stuns.
When I fight sub rogues, I hold trinket nether for duel. I have to pre-kite, pre blur, or pre darkness in order to achieve this. Itâs very hard.
Glads at high level half to wait hours for just one game in queue at high ratingâŠ
They make alts and play at low cr because its lonely up there in the clouds.
Fixed that for you
