The new starter zones sound amazing. Brilliant idea.
But why make new players do only BFA from 10-50? That sounds like a painful leveling experience.
I’m trying to get my wife to start in Shadowlands. The starter area will help her a ton. But she will for sure get bored and never want to play again if she is stuck in BFA from 10-50.
I have to agree, BFA should not be forced, tbh it should be banned from being picked for first time players. Classic / Cataclysm / Mist should be one of the first three options for first time players in my honest opinion.
I fully disagree with you. BFA is the absolute best choice to make new players do.
BFA is the most modernized questing experience, and sets new players up to not get confused chronologically.
Also, new players wont have the same expectations of the characters in BFA that we do. They’re not gonna look at Sylvanas and cry about how ruined she is. BFA has a very good leveling experience and story.
I mean wrath was the expansion i started in, but going straight to northrend with no context will ruin the special flavor unless they played through WC3 Reign of chaos and frozen throne already.
BFAs leveling content is fine. You’re letting your personal distaste of the rest of the expansion draw a bias.
Stop thinking like a veteran, start thinking like a person whose never played WoW before. What are you going to enjoy more, low resolution boar quest in Durotar, or a cinematic experience in Zandalar.
I don’t see why new players should dislike BfA questing. Experienced players, yes, but that’s exactly why experienced players have the option to do any expansion they choose.
Have to agree; it is the most modern expansion, thus reflective of the current state of WoW both gameplay and loewise, and as a leveling experience it isn’t bad like at all. All the BfA zones are good.
