I love Wow, and this is the only game I play. I’ve been playing since vanilla, but I think my interest drastically faded during this expansion. Maybe I just grew out of the expansion or the game itself, I don’t know. I’m trying really hard to keep my interest. So I tried taking breaks from the game, but that’s not helping. I started to realize lately that I got tired of all my in-game characters. I just don’t feel like doing anything after I log in to Wow. I have this urge to delete them all and start over from zero. Has anyone felt this way?
If you’re looking to divorce yourself from the game entirely, deleting your characters would go a long way towards that.
It is OK for you to not enjoy this game anymore and move on to something else. Or not even game anymore. I’m 45 now, I was 30 when I started. And I certainly don’t have the passion for this game(or any other) that I used to in the old days.
I stopped reading right here
uh, no … in 15 days you can recover them like they were never deleted
You are feeling like I am. My wife also felt that way, and a few other people we know. I can’t speak for the entire community at large here; In our small demographic we were appalled at the change happening in the new x-pack and the complete loss of power that would set us back 2 expansions.
That was the deal breaker for us, roll us back once… okay, roll us back twice… mmm… okay… roll us back thrice!.. nope! Good luck!
They were hardly bragging.
Well of course.
But I think a person is a lot less likely to return to the game if they delete their characters and just forget about the game.
That’s right. I think i just lost my passion for the game. It sucks. I would still say that i love the game. I used to be deeply invested earlier, but i think not anymore. I still really hope that i would find a way to get my mojo back.
Wut?
Can you not read?
Been there.
I take frequent breaks. With my current job I get 2 days a week to play, so that helps a bit.
When I start wanting to delete characters and do the whole start over from scratch, I make a new character a new server. I quickly realize how awful it is.
I’ve made new characters on my current server for a few perks (gold, bags) and start the leveling process. I still don’t overly enjoy it. Just end up back on a character I’ve either maxed or one further along in the process.
Sometimes I just play a different game (FFxiv or SWtoR) for awhile.
I think we all go through periods of wow loathing.
I can’t read dumb, sorry.
Go back to fox news, they need you to butcher another story.
Do they have foxes?
Why not juggle games OP ? it will keep things fresh
For example i am playing Red dead redemption 2 and Skyrim side by side…so it keeps things fresh instead of focusing on only one game.
next patch
I know how that sounds. But this isn’t me complaining about the state of game or expansion. It’s more to do with my passion for the game, I suppose.
Could just quit. You know, not waste money on something you have no desire to play.

Daddy advice 101
I think when it comes to gaming in the here and now, you are doing yourself a disservice by anchoring yourself to any one game. Especially if you aren’t loving that game like you used to.
There are so many other games out there. It’s literally an embarrassment of riches. The possibilities on PC are virtually endless. In addition to all of the PC games, so many of which are free, you could use an emulator and run thousands of old console games if you wanted to. From the Atari up to the PS2 and various handhelds.
