It’s a fantasy world that doesn’t know there’s a lawsuit and even I think the succubus is fine don’t turn the succubus into an apple. If you keep changing all the females into fruit but yet we can still go and beat up Princess Theradras in the dungeon like its a 16:00pm cube crawl on a friday in Irvine offices, where is the line drawn? it’s better off not using Azeroth as a vehicle to show you are a ‘caring’ company and make the effort in real life to make sure the victims are compensated for and that the evidence is not shredded. Leave WoW as a fantasy game (make it fun again though please) and fix your stuff in the real world separately, it’s like the Uldum zone questing, too many references to the real world, people just wanna play their game and escape the world, and employees just want a safe place to work, let them have it. While we have oranges though, first shill to disagree with logic gets one! yay
Succubus are fine. Fits the warlock well.
Wiggles toes
So good hehehehe
People are being “sheeped” into talking about the “sanitization”, but it is not actually the reason for the change. You will never get it through their heads though.
If they were really changing it for the reasons some “very smart folks at the editorial of a certain website”, there would have been a lot of other changes and some other things would have never been created.
It is like the ban of a certain kind of content online. It is not for the reasons people think it is.
they already got there foot in the door, they’re just wishing for it to be wide open instead. If they take away my Succubi, Ima cry, and file a lawsuit on Blizzard.
I think that makes sense. I just find it weird some of the lengths they go to make these changes in game. there’s probably more reasons for it your right I just saw the succubus thread really caught fire and got worried they might take her away. When I saw the raid finder thread go wild back in the day I got worried and they made one… so I get worried when threads take off like that. I still do think though they do use the game as a bit of a way to ‘make up’ for their mistakes though. I dont need to read an article off some scammy website to see that
What people dont really get is that there is a difference between suggestive references and skimpy content to offensive content.
Offensive is something that argues about a demeaning representation of something.
And in this, I guess blizzard in their OWN RESPONSE, rather than someone else’s site accusations, did actually the exact thing people are “virtue signaling about”. They removed the harming content, without removing the content that some might say it is offensive but it is not.
I can vibe with that, well said. I just want my succubus to be skimpy
Harm is a funny thing. I myself see no harm in talking about certain cultures, certain people, in a certain way, but I understand why THEY might be offended by it.
I cant really see how depictions of things that the game actually never showed to happen are “needed”.
If you have been to the black temple you know that picture has nothing to do with how those things go in the Warcraft universe. They depict a scene that is unrealistic to this universe and are more likely to be something depicting a IRL thing that is culturally demeaning.
Here where I live for example there was a really big “thing” about stop depicting a religious icon with skimpy clothes because it is not “offensive” because it is skimpy, but because it is a false depiction of a cultural symbol. The thing being the Khmer “woman”.
Most people dont really know, but that depiction in the picture is kind of a rule 39 of something else.
Think of it this way:
Christian people might find demeaning if you paint a nun in a skimpy outfit, while most of us non and never christian would sometimes not even know that was something “special”.
While in some places that might be a thing, it would not be in this particular game.
PLus, if you really know what a “harem” was, you would know that is not “harem-style”.
lol
There are a lot of people who are uncomfortable with the succubus
It’s actually a trio of evil fruits.
Blizz, please turn Sylvanas into a succubus.
Thnx.
Oh, and while you’re at it, also turn into succubi: Jaina, Alexstrasza, and Chromie.
#daretoimagine
Chromie as a Succubus is all my teenage dreams come true.
Not kill, remove.
And not from the whole game, just from being a warlock’s minion.
Then give warlock three slots, one heals, one does damage and one tank and let them choose from a book which demons they want in each spot (but nothing oversized), they summon, fight, make a deal, rinse, repeat to fill the three spots. And then they can collect more and more as they level and are able to freely switch at the book at any time, no cost.
I mean, technically a Succubus is an allusion to a real life demon so… as long as it doesn’t take any more inspiration from actual lore on Succubi we should be good… otherwise WoW is going from T straight to A.
Patch 9.2 Notes:
Warlocks Succubus has now been turned into a bowl of fruit on legs.
Blizzard is looking to be more like the people who took over Afghanistan with what they are doing to women. Most men can control themselves around women even women in a bikini, showing some cleavage, or walking down a Victoria Secret stage wearing nothing but some bits of tape.
If this continues then it will push more people away from the game because its telling the playerbase that you cant control yourselves so we have to control you instead. Its pretty much killed the comics, its killed shows, and it will kill games.
I think females should be removed from the game and WoW should be all males. I like a strong woman holding a mace or a sword but I don’t want to objectify them as that and it’s not fair to women who don’t want to hold a sword or a mace.
So I think its best if we just have male characters.
I agree! Let the women stay home and photosynthesize while us men fight and save Azeroth!
