Don't increase KSM difficulty in season 3, its perfect

Many threads popping up demanding a increase in making KSM harder to get, but what’s the common factor in all of these posters? They are all timing over +20 keys and basically wanna gatekeep a mount from 99.9% of player base for their worthless pride to feel good riding around on it. As it is right now, some weeks +15s are near impossible for pugs with some affix combos, let alone a +20 that 99.99999% won’t ever do. Other weeks it feels perfectly balanced and can even time a +16 with pugs if the people are good enough.

Do not listen to these players who just wanna gatekeep the game and bring it back to 2004 where having an item brought you “status” for being seeing with it. Oh and these people usually play an unhealthy amount of time many hours a day endlessly to spam M+ while the common player actually has a job and can’t stand around all day que’ing for keys only to fail a +15 due to pugs.

dude, just no. there is nothing impossible about 15s.

I don’t advocate for KSM to be harder. But I do think it’s dumb you can reach it by failing to time dungeons.

I think a lot of it has to do with the rewards attached. They have nerfed it to the point that it’s kind of easy to get Mythic level gear now compared to the raid.

I think it’s fine.

To be fair, I thought S1 KSM was actually easier to get simply because I only had to time 8 dungeons… which came out to less work (overall) than the current requirement of running 16 dungeons.

I’m gonna be moving up soon to pushing +20s and i don’t think it needs to be any harder.

I was with you till you brought the whole “they play more than me” “I have a real life with a real job” into it.

I’ve had my guild and group mainly disband or go super casual in the last year so i understand where you’re coming from with your thoughts. But if you play on that other crap you’re just tripping bro.

At the very least, you shouldn’t be able to fail your way to the achievement. And no, I don’t collect portals. :joy:

I’d totally be fine with the achievement requiring timed +15 tyrannical and Fortified. It’s the equivalent of heroic AOTC.

I don’t get the annoyance people have with “failing” counting for credit.

Finishing a 16-17 by one minute over par is arguably equatable difficulty with barely timing a 15.

In both cases you had to finish and in the case of the 16-17 they finished harder content.

In the current system I’ve seen zero people leave after a key was doomed to fail as long as it looked finishable because partial credit was appealing. In S1 people would leave if you wiped on the last boss once or twice.

Overall S2 is a great quality of life improvement and has managed to make the WoW m+ community feel less toxic.

Only thing I miss personally is the account bound unlock. All this season has done is make it more tedious for me to gear an alt.

People that take pride in doing clown content like Mythic+ are so weird, M+ is there for weekly free loot, no point in making it harder.

Eh speak for yourself, I got my ksm last week, and I was under the impression that only my timed runs were contributing to the rating. So, when I realized you could 100% fail your way through it I was a little disappointed and now think less of my achievement.

I’d like to see them leave everything as it is but only grant rating to times runs - just me personally.

I realized this season just finishing was worth the same almost at week 2 doing 17’s for completion

It’s pretty simple why these players are doing this. They think they deserve to play a game that has no casuals, that only has the creme de la creme still playing. And they want that game to be wow. They want blizzard to make changes to force out 98% of the playerbase so they don’t have to associate with other people. Sounds pretty antisocial to me.

  1. It’s not gatekeeping you nobody is stopping you from doing it.
  2. It should definitely be harder it was a joke to do I haven’t even done some keys on tyranical week and still got it.

Not getting a mount is forcing the majority of players out of the game? If that was the case the player base would have gone back in tbc but it didn’t. Nothing is wrong with having harder content that offers its own unique reward. You know what else did this the mage tower and how many cries for that to come back to you see.
