Communication in written form is a dying art. People who’ve grown up texting tend to misspell words or truncate/abbreviate them. Eventually, no one will bat an eyelash when words barely follow basic rules of spelling and grammar.
Until that point however, spelling is important and the worse your ability, the likelier you’re to get grief. In chat, i’d not worry to much about it… but in the forums, you really should download and install Grammarly. It will correct and point out obvious flaws.
Some of us dont care for spelling correct all u want im not doing it.
First if u wanted to speak to people u called them everyone just talks by texts now i dont even correct for my boss either.
If he wants work to be 10 texts a day insyeading calling and talking then i dony correct ever.so if im not doing that 4 work y would i do it for a form?
Either call and talk or u can text away but u get lots spellibg errors.
Phone buttons r also 2 mm x 2mm its zo easy to hit other buttons.
Maybe if u dont like texts like mine dont read them then
Yeaaaaaah I have no idea what this is actually trying to say.
I was really hoping you were making a joke but a quick glance at your post history shows that this is actually how you type. This is a prime example of how abysmal spelling and grammar can cripple a conversation when you’re communicating in a written medium.
I understand light teasing about it, but meanness is not needed. I have to always open extra tabs to spell check because of dyslexia. I do the best I can.
Sometimes intelligence has nothing to do with it.
Besides, being stupid is not the worst thing to be. Being a jackass, however, is.
Egads… is this even English? Seriously, you have some nerve just randomly hitting keys on your keyboard hoping that anyone will understand a single stroke you laid down. Use a spell checker. What does that take? Three to four seconds just to make sure you’re understood?
Well sure, but this is a forum for discussion. Why would you not at least make an attempt to communicate legibly? In the block I quoted I legitimately don’t know what you were trying to say. It’s not hard to take a few seconds to look at your post and make sure others can understand it. Because otherwise why bother posting?
I misspell stuff all the time. People are free to say what they like. I kinda like it when those people identify themselves so I know not to care what they think.
When I was a teenager and avid-forum user, I would always be Googling spellings and definitions. This helped my grammar tremendously. I suggest you try doing the same.
As for grammar perfectionists, I recommend just ignoring them. For me, one who aims for best grammar possible, as long as I can understand what someone else is trying to convey, I don’t give a crap. Spell badly all day for all I care!
I think its sad that people get upset by this. I guess they never really learned that people who are looking out for you tell you what you need to hear, while people who are looking out for themselves tell you what you want to hear.
100% agree, especially since, for me, English is not my main language, so I try my best to communicate in perfect English or very close to it whether it is on the forums, Discord, in-game, etc.
