Tazavesh is a no swim zone. Not sure what the Void did to the water, but a deep pool is an auto-disconnect. First time I had to use the stuck character feature to get out of the water. The next time (surprise, that stream was deeper than you thought) it would disconnect if I tried to move to swim away…however, I could summon a mount and go straight up. I haven’t been this scared of water since I first saw JAWS…
They need to lean on the scary deep water thing more. Deeper you go, the darker it gets, and suddenly a faceless one or kraken jump scares and one shots you.
Or sucks you into a vortex that never lets you out. You are stuck there until you log into a diff character then when you log in youre dead somewhere that you have no idea how to get back from.
previously, when you fell or got in the water you’d die from a shark attack. I assume that has remained in the new release. but tbh I don’t know yet.
Personal theory…that’s where they put the delve water and it’s taking revenge
No they do not. As it stands, I can’t do some of the secret finding due to deep water and my severe phobia of it expands to open spaces, as well.
I couldn’t get through K’aresh without help. I didn’t know it was broken islands in space. First time I tried to fly out to the first quest not in Tazavesh… I ended up with a major anxiety attack.
I couldn’t finish Vash’jir on my own either. Nor could I get to Throne of Tides. I had to be summoned.
Or just never do underwater content again.
You should rather worry about what’s happening to your toon while the lights are out, friend.
Now it has turned into an auto disconnect. I dont have time summon a mount or move to get out of the water. lol
I kept slipping into the pools of water in the gardens yesterday and a druid had to keep yanking me out when I got back from the disconnect lol.
Plot twist, hot Baywatch Druid Lifeguards everywhere.
The moral of today’s story is:
Water is bad. Don’t let it touch your skin.
You found the Tazavesh deep water Nemesis boss didn’t you?
NO thank you. Deep water gives me the absolute heebie jeebies and it translates into the game too. Dunno why. The fatigue zones creep me out and I couldn’t quest in Vash’jir past the first zone.
iirc, there was once a quest that involved putting on diving helmet and using a lantern to ward off sea beasts attacking you. The water was so dark and you couldn’t see much past the lantern light. God I don’t even remember where that was, when that was, or any other context because I freaked out the whole time. Did that even exist or was that some kind of fever dream I had?
I don’t like deep water either, for the record. I was OK with Vashj’ir since it’s extremely (unrealistically) well lit, and in some places even beautiful. It also helps that now I have a real computer that can handle max draw distance (which for better or worse lets you see the ocean floor in Vashj’ir and its infamous pearl).
The Horde war campaign quest to retrieve a certain Proudmoore’s body though… I can see that one triggering people. And I mean actual triggering, in the psychological sense, not the modern hijacked “you don’t like me being racist? lol triggered!!1” sense.
yeah happened to me yesterday that lake on the dome where the “INVISIBLE RARE” (the one everyone its looking for but no avaliable lol)
Don’t play Subnautica. Lol
……
It sounds like you’re recalling a chapter of the Horde campaign in BfA that sends you to the bottom of the sea.
