Get your carrot on a stick for faster mount speed. I think you get it in Thousand Needles somewhere.
Yeah the quest begins and ends in Thousand Needles but requires you to kill Gahz’rilla in ZF.
You get it from a Zul’Farrak quest. And you need the mallet from the Hinterlands to summon Gahz’rilla for that quest.

Getting the mallet in hinterlands is a little confusing.
I think you need get original mallet from the keeper at alter of zul.
THEN take it to top of Jinthalor. That turns it into mallet of ZG
A lot of people get screwed going all the way up there and like o no I forgot something.
One thing that cant be forgotten is in Classic all the mobs are Elite to the Alter.

This is a typical thing that I am really looking forward to with Classic - working my butt off to get a measly three percent speed increase on my mount!
Were mithril spurs and riding crop in classic? And did they stack? I can’t remember

Wouldn’t a dps trinket cut down kill timers more than what you gain by getting to the mob faster?

Unless you’re an engineer, the Carrot on the Stick may well be the first trinket you get. Second, if you like PvP (and don’t hit level 50 before they add Battlegrounds).
More bag space means more gold which means a shorter time period to the fastest mount.
So use it till anything else can fill the slot?
Um…yeah. Get more gold by carrying one fewer trinket to save bag space. Someone currently posting on a shaman isn’t playing a shaman in Classic, I take it.
