Don't Forget the Kalimdor Cup

Kalimdor Cup is up this week with cosmetic rewards.

Most of the courses are very easy to Gold out on normal. I mean that. They are much more forgiving than the TWW dailies, for example. I just ran them all today on the lowest difficulty. You get one badge per victory level.

If you get a bronze time, you get 1 badge.
If you get a silver time, you get another badge.
If you get a gold time, you get another badge.

If you get silver the first time you run the race, for example, you are awarded 2 badges.
If you do it again and get a gold time, you will get 1 more badge for a total of 3 per course. I haven’t done the advanced courses, yet, but I’m assuming you can do those for even more badges.

Pick the quest up in your capital!

So it’s only for this week?

mm…I think it’s up until the 11th of March, so I misspoke. I think we have it for two weeks.

I was not tracking this. Any new rewards or just the same as last time?

I didn’t play last time, so I can’t be sure. It’s the riding armor set, a toy, some dragon customs, etc. Best to just check and be sure. He’s in SW.

What I want to know is why these cups are every 6 months, so we have to wait 2 years to complete Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland, and Northrend? Can we have them rotate every 2 weeks or something?

Is it the same rewards from the last 2 years?

No new rewards. Bleh.

I’m OK with this. It’s nice being “done” on something in the game.

Isn’t that every skyriding race ever? Only very few advanced ones are tight on times.

Currently Drake Racer’s Scarf cannot be purchased from the vendor. Please fix.

Already did it and bought everything.

Never done it and own nothing.

Appreciate the reminder. :3 Also, for anyone interested in getting the entire Kalimdor set, currently the pendent/back piece seems to be missing from the vendors in both the capital cities and in Valdrakken, but the rest of the set is obtainable.

If I remember right, it will require getting gold times in every race in every area save for two races to be able to afford the entire set. The margin for error is one silver and one bronze race respectively, but the rest has to be Gold if you are starting from 0 badges as I was.

Also, just a good tip that I learned, don’t use the speed boost that costs 3 stamina at the start. It might feel good to get that head start initially, but I found doing so often led to being a second too late for the Gold Time. Just pace your single-speed bursts accordingly; nearly every race becomes much more enjoyable.

Edit: The pendent/back piece is now available for purchase.

I did this quest and finished it and got the achivment but it would not let me turn it in to get the reward and after relogging it showed as if it was neber done even though i have the acheivment for it, and Blizzard cant help with compensation of my reward as it seems to be a known issue for some they are aware of. I don’t know that ill get my reward.

Too late, I already forgot it - just like I forgot it last year. I’ll forget it again as soon as I’m done with this post.
