Don't forget Allied Races in 9.1

I think I know exactly why the tail is most likely to not happen though.

Is not because some obscure lore bit says “no tails”, it comes down to the character model

You can think that with vulpera that shouldn’t be an issue but, considering vulpera came much later, that doesn’t mean anything to worgen since they’re an older model.

If you look at the base races models before and after the upgrade, you’ll notice that the polygon count was increased but, all in all, what got the most upgrade was the textures but, other than that, the model itself went mainly untouched.

To add tails to worgen they’d need rework the model entirely. Simply sticking a tail could lead to a lot of glitching (and C’thulu knows we have plenty of issues with that as it is with almost every race) and then the modification of the animations to prevent model splitting and add movement to the tail.

It wouldn’t be that easy (even though for a big company it should be…) but, if they won’t fix the proportions of male night elves, I simply don’t expect them to add tails to worgen.

He kind of does but it’s… questionable at best.

The only confirmation it’s Christie Golden saying she shouldn’t have given Genn a tail in Before the Storm. That’s literally it.

There’s no explanation as to why this is the case.

fair enough, I wouldn’t think it’ll be complicated, although the orc postures saids otherwise, indeed you do get an orc that can finally stand up straight, but they’re very limited to many helmets due to the helmets being modeled for hunch stance, so most would have a big gap in the back that exposes the orc’s head.

Not that Worgen are an AR, but I don’t really care either way about tails, so sure, give em tails.

What I would like to see is a Night Elf model toggle for their alternate form as well as more Night Elf esque features for their Worgen forms, such as ears, eyebrows and coloration. Yes, this is a bit more drastic than tails and is pretty much a pipedream, but alas, this is my biggest wish for them.

I’d be shocked if we get more allied race customization options in the next 5 years and this dude talkin about 9.1.

That kind of seems very unfair to Void Elves since they just got halfed the Features of High Elves. What Void Elves really need is Hair Colors that bring variety like Blonde, Red, and etc, Normal Hairstyles from both Old/New from BE and other games that has elven hairstyles.

Saying that Void Elves need nothing and got almost every option that blood elves got is false.

Zandalari need more skin, hair and tattoo options. I would be happy witn at least one hairstyle for female trolls that isn’t half shaved, and a non receding one for males

Ok so for Allied Races I would like to see:

Void Elves:

Hair Colors: Blonde, Brown, Red, White, Black, Orange, Green, and Light Blue.

Jewelry and Beards: More Beard Styles like the ones from Warcraft 3 reforged for the males and Silver Jewelry for the Females.

Hairstyles: Some of the Blood Elf Stuff but also Hairstyles from Breath of the Wild, Skyrim/Elder Scrolls Online, and etc.

War Paint: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, and White.

Eye Color: Pink, Green, Black, Normal Purple, and Brown.

Ear Options: Half Elf Ears.

Void Elf Void Skin Tunes: Black, Pink, Gray, and Void White.

Etc for Void Features.

Kul’tirans:

Smooth Faces, Tattoo Options, Thin Human Option, Scars, Beards, Hair Colors, Hairstyles, and etc.

Lightforged Draenei:

Hairstyles, Skin Tunes of Black, Blue, and etc.

He just wants High Elves with extra steps. I’m sure if it were up to him the whole void part would be scrapped altogether

nightborne needs all

62 less is not “half” of what the current playable high elves have. It’s exactly 70%

They need things. They need more voidy options, more tentacles, a darker purple skin color. But while they could use these things, they should also wait their turn after every other AR caught up first.

Female night elf need to be fixed too. Night elves and nightborne need a new model, customizations aren’t enough to fix them.

Absolutely correct.

Which is why I’m so apprehensive about future updates. I don’t know if these directors care enough to put more effort into a model beyond hair colours.

You’ll keep your slackjawed harelipped mouth on your 1 of only 4 faces and you’ll like it.

Tauren customization was completely phoned in and it’ll be another 16 years if they even do anything about it.

I just wanted to say I love your transmog and character. 10/10 on the aesthetic.

Also I agree about customizations. I personally would love some more options for Dark Iron Dwarves.

(I’d also want more races to be able to be druids, especially dwarves/dark irons, but that’s another argument entirely).

Thank you

Also, one thing that would be nice for dark irons, and admittedly, I stole this from one of the ideas for VEs, would be an optio for scars that make it look as molten slag.

I just want to play a pale white orc that isnt a dk. And be like azog the defiler from the hobbit.

That’s… an incredible idea! I hope Blizz steals it!

Yes, Nightborne need huge improvements! I really want unique casting animations as well.

I would love it, also, if the initial allied races could have unique dances. It seems strange to have a posh society of elves like the Nightborne doing the same dance as their country cousins.
