Itâs a bug that many of us have reported now. Needs to be fixed as it invalidates our Hero Capstone and leads to degen playstyle of generating as much HP as possible to spam one button. Very uninspired playstyle as if Ret isnât already the Meme spec to add HoL spam.
Itâs ghastly in design, it makes templars verdict our supposed to be main single target damage button obsolete, imagine frost dks never pressing obliterate. I get it, itâs flashy, our single target does need help, but this isnât it by a mile.
Snd this will be fixed and your st wont change. So idk why sre you even arguing âthis is not itâ. This is as good ss its gonna get. Enjoy it while you can
lets be honest Templars verdict is already obsolete! my Templar verdict hit for 150k uncrit and my divine storm hit for 100k uncrit, its not even a 2% hit in pvp on someone with a health pool ofr 7000k like most geared players have. lets not kid ourself. On a side node arcane mage can crit for 1M with arcane blast and even way more with arcane barrage.
Leaving something broken doesnât fix anything.
In fact it just makes it harder to make things afterwards.
The hero spec are supposed to be evergreen, are we really asking for it to be broken for the next 10 years?

Its funny in PvP, but overall I donât really like it. The spam to get 5 holy power and pump out as many hammers as possible is just⊠I donât like it. It makes the rest of the rotation feel incredibly clunky.
Either way, its clearly a bug.
I go into other class forums looking at their discussion on their broken abilities and I dont see any of them asking the devs to change anything. Seems like they scream bloody murder if they are reigned in at all, but not here⊠bunch of masochists for sure

And if it doesnât get removed, then everything within the Templar tree will be needed to offset that.
Even if itâs fun, keeping the bugged version is just asking for nerfs.
You know what I can see a way to keep it but it has to be reduced duration or instead of 1 , 2 HoLs can be cast
It is def fun to try to squeeze but at somepoint it just takes over comoletely. If they increased the number of HoL from 1 to 2 id be fine with it.
Because its terrible and clearly unintended⊠We want actual improvements to things like final verdict, not begging for a clear bug to stay and turn the entire gameplay into wackamole drag race into 5 HP to spam HoL.
Just got curious and checked it out.
On the one hand, it feels so so good to constantly be dropping hammers. Just constantly dropping the hammer feels so fun.
But there is absolutely zero way this is intentional and will likely be fixed.
Definitely unintended! Lightâs Deliverance talent states âââŠconsume 60 stacks of LD, empowrring yourself to cast HoL an additional time for free.ââ
Meanwhile, when I reach 60 stack while Wake is on CD, HoL can trigger 3-4 times before going on CD and when it does, Wake is available to use. Sometimes you can literally just build your 5 holy power and only pump HoL. Itâs insane and obviously broken. But it does feel really good lol
Lightâs Deliverance works fine with the bug. It gives you a free Hammer of Light and enables another 12 seconds of use.
This is how the spec has worked since Cataclysm. Itâs a builder/spender spec, and the only difference with the bug is weâre spending on Hammer of Light instead of Templarâs Verdict. Thatâs not âdegen playstyle,â thatâs just how the spec works.
Not gonna lie, it actually feels pretty bad because it costs 5 hp, and once every 30 seconds or so thatâs fine, but if itâs back to back itâs very annoying, also, the gcd is kinda weird on it, when you use it back to back.
Just pointing out that cheerleading for class self-nerfs is not what I see in the other forums.
Yeah, i donât like the 5 stack gameplay, itâs not appealing. Makes the combat feel sluggish⊠or maybe thatâs just the stupid delay on the ability, or both.
I see that the ret pallies donât like this, but as prot we finally have damage. And gives us the decision to sacrifice tankiness for damage.
