You made the right choice with disabling world buffs in raids. To me, this one change is the reason I’ll be keeping my sub and playing fresh classic.

Nope. I vastly prefer classic. I just cannot stand how full world buffs became the norm and the meta. Were you there in 2004? Were there buff trains before every single raid? That’s the farthest thing from the true classic experience imaginable. Nice try though.

You get the picture. Might still see with people wanting the buff to help level alts, but it won’t be as rampant since the buffs won’t work in raids. And yes, I know there were addon’s for this type of tracking and that was beyond silly to even need one of them.

The only whiners I keep hearing are those that could not spend take a little time out of their day to go get WB’s and be prepared for the raid. Maybe you would learn ho to prepare for raids. It might also teach you something about being prepared in life, instead of just crying about it.

I think it’s safe to say a lot of people experienced world buffs, and it would be nice to not waste large parts of the day figuring out the buff schedules and raid logging on top of getting expensive consumables. After getting raid buffed for every raid it was a huge relief going into TBC and not having to worry about them (the raid bosses will hopefully be balanced better too!)

Screw world buffs.
Not everyone is some turbo sweatlord bopping out to EDM music while they spam their brainless 1-2 button rotation against 16 year old content while they gawk at damage meters stroking their e-peen off while thinking they are good at this game.
Bosses will still die very fast. Classic content is easy. Raids will still be brainless. The secret is out and the fights are figured out. There is never going to be any point anymore where classic raiding is difficult.
Some people like to go outside and not run around the world collecting stupid buffs. Raids weren’t meant to be cleared in 20 minutes or whatever ridiculous WR is. Most of us just want to chill and BS around while slaying some bosses and not tryhard 99.9% parse everything all the time.
It’s a game.

My favorite is when the pro-wBuff people say “we don’t like 2 hour raids w/o our world buffs!”
1 hour collecting wBuffs, 30 minute raid.
0 hour collecting wBuffs, 1 hour 30 minute raid.

Or the people who got harassed for not wanting to raid log, or the people who didn’t like the toxic community built around getting them, or the people who don’t like watching alliance cheese it to get a horde only WB and when they stop those alliance horde and alliance harass the hell out of them, this has nothing to do with “being prepared for raids” and has everything to do with the toxicity built around them.
But hey I am proud of you for being prepared and ready to go on time in a VIDEO GAME, this is NOT a job I can’t speak for others but I don’t pay 15$ a month to feel like I am at work I pay 15$ to play a video game and escape from work.
