regardless every solo shuffle i queue has server lag and make it pointless. literally 3 of 3 the other day had server lag. i left my last one and will never queue again until rated is added and hopefully no server lag?
I guess i fail to see the problem if everyone has to both play with and against the player with bad gear. It kinda ends up being all equal.

i keep seeing this forum churn out the idea that this game’s pvp could ever be meaningfully more popular than it presently is is without shedding the worst mmo elements, the grindy crap that modern gamers just don’t have the patience for. why? do you pay your sub for the thrill of being the only geared guy in an epic bg?

buddy most peeps don’t say bfa/slands was better pvp gearing than legion
but most peeps do say that legion pvp gearing sucked compared to mop/wod and just want to return to that
legion was not pure fair templates, it had deltas that could basically never be caught up for tons of players and it did make a difference
perhaps pure templates where everyone is the same gear power would’ve been more popular, especially if 100% of borrowed power was normalized as well (some of it was, some of it wasn’t during legion).
the only real complaints about wod/mop was that the catch up conquest grind was too much after 2-3 months into the season and most players thought they should’ve allowed double, triple, or even quadruple conquest points until you were caught up
it is also hard to get wins when you are gearing up, as you are obviously at a power disadvantage, so it helps to have some amount of conquest from something that doesn’t require wins otherwise it just makes the catch up even more punitive
you can tell when peeps are pretty happy with pvp gearing because the pvp forums fill with complaints about premades vs pugs instead of about gearing
in bfa aspirant cc related trinkets only costed like 100g
meaning you could always get one unless you were inhumanly irresponsible with ur gold and you didn’t have to gimp yourself with sitting thru all ccs until you got one
there are a lot of solutions they could use for that problem other than just giving up on it. buying a new medallion is always the most disappointing last-conquest-item purchase of a new season imo
using medallion responsibly in wow pvp is like using flash in league, it’s well designed as a powerful tool in specific circumstances that’s easy to misuse and get 0 value out of if you aren’t thinking or get outplayed. i think the game would benefit from giving everybody one, maybe even in world and pve as well, and trying to make it easy and natural for players to learn that
also they clearly want to use the trinket slots to try and inject new stupid crap into pvp and having 2 trinkets available for all players would help them do that
I do 1 solo shuffle on my main and important alts each day and I know how annoying it is when you got a fresh char in your team. Saw some fresh 60s with 21k hp. Guess what happens. In the end … its all equal. Everyone who has the 21k hp guy in his team loses quickly…
Now I have a fresh 60 and I farmed the full honor set. I got 49k hp and I dont even dare to queue…
