If this newest version of classic extends past TBC into wrath in 2026, please don’t add heirlooms.
There is something truly special about trying to get new weapons or a piece of gear from a dungeon, heirlooms erase a lot of this and make dungeon and quest drops in wrath and onward seem really dumb
I say this as someone who levels a lot of alts and had every heirloom. Add just like a static 10% exp similar to warbands in retail or something
Just don’t use them if you don’t like them, problem solved.

If you don’t like heirlooms don’t use them

Leveling in wrath takes forever even with heirlooms, they need a buff.

The OP is literally asking for a buff that exists in retail while I am saying heirlooms should remain how they were in wrath. Im defending wotlk heirlooms as they originally existed in wotlk. You’re not very bright are you?

Heirlooms are the shiz, and they give people a reason to continue to play on their mains, populate the PvP zone, plan out another gear progression, etc.
They also allow you to level an alt that doesn’t look like it grabbed whatever was on the rack at Salvation Army.
Absolute clown take.

As I began reading, I was very positive … finally a body that does not ask for more, faster, cheaper … but then
Oh, you want faster after all, only forced on everybody. This is even worse than heirlooms - because you can
whereas your buff would be unavoidable. Just no thanks.

what isn’t very bright is your retail justification of “don’t like it don’t use it” for garbage MMO features
What is retail about me wanting wotlk items to remain how they were when wotlk was originally out? As opposed to OP who literally asked for a buff that exists in retail.
I’d say you have room temp IQ but that would be a cold room tbh.
