That’s it, I’m done. Barring any significant changes, I just can’t play this class anymore in TWW, which is sad because I’m really a warlock at heart.
The amount of creatively bankrupt, seriously lacking changes and talents and decisions the Warlock dev has been making only reveals how little they know about fun gameplay and proper design. Change after change only goes to reveal their own lack of gameplay experience with the class.
How anyone with years of experience at all levels of the game could make such changes is beyond me. I am formally asking for either their resignation or their firing. They can still work at blizzard, just not on my class. Their work simply isn’t good enough and does more harm than good.
The crazy and cool things that can be done with the warlock class are endless, and yet the best that has been produced are “Increase X damage” talents with no gameplay changes whatsoever. New and cool demons, new and cool gameplay mechanics, triple dreadstalker, imps on dreadstalker, Tyrant interactions, Thalkiels, Metamorphosis, Immo Aura (mage has melee Shifting Power so no range excuse) etc etc etc I can go on. And yet the best we get are passive dam increase talents…
So, I’m switching to mage. The passion and creativity of the mage Dev really shows through his work, hence my switching. Warlock dude is a talentless passionless hack in comparison. Barring any significant overhaul, I won’t be playing warlock. So long, my beloved class. Those who haven’t known better will stick with you, but I unfortunately cannot.
Look, I was with you for a good part and understanding your decision to move on from Warlock.
But sentences like these are uncalled for, and not acceptable. That is not how feedback works, asking for people to lose their jobs doesn’t get anything done or anyone anywhere.
Providing feedback is good, let them know you are unhappy, but at the end of the day its entirely possible the direction will not align with you in the end. It sucks, but it can happen. Keep on providing feedback, they have been acting on it more than ever before, and who knows where that will land us.
I am most definitely switching to my Monk but Mage is looking extremely fun also. Will be an alt for sure in TWW.
Both Destro and Demo have been an uphill battle for me since WoD. Affliction at least occasionally had iterations that I found enjoyable and while I do like a few of the changes coming in TWW for Affliction something about it is just off.
And that eneded up with them doubling down on what everybody gave feedback that they explicitly did not want from the changes so…
Look im all for telling people to calm down with the anger, but when youre this bad at your job and show absolute disdain for the people you are supposed to be getting feedback from for years, maybe its time they get moved off from this and given the reins over to somebody else

Yea, you better pull some miracle, because this idea you have about demo/destro hasn’t work out for around a year.
This started all the way back in aberrus, and it’s getting worse, and worse and worse and worse, so i don’t know wtf they are smoking, or where they are getting the confidence to publish such horrible changes, but you better pull off something good, because so far it has only been GARBAGE.
If you continue to fail to impress after a year with garbage changes such as these, what makes you think that you’re somehow gonna pull it off at the last minute? Guess what, you’re not! Because if the idea was so great we would at least see some good results by now.
We didn’t need to wait for the ww monk rework to be complete to say that they were some good changes, or the mage rework, because if you have good ideas the results are apparent pretty much immediately!

Ill have you know something though, my takes are usually very good, certainly superior to yours. Many of the suggestions i made were eventually introduced into the game with great success.

There is no contribution. That comment was purely about me, at least i said something, at least i talked about how the direction of warlock is awful. That’s still better than what you two are doing. I frankly already provided feedback long ago about destro/demo and even affliction, they doubled down on their own ideas, and now the class is ruined. Not just me, most warlock mains complained about the direction, still didn’t care, they clearly don’t care.
I’m not whining either, at least not about that comment.
