Don’t time-limit content people actually enjoy

Just a suggestion…

Content like the mage tower should not be a time-limited event. I understand trying to space things out to drive resubscriptions but I would argue this mentality hurts the game as a whole.

With content droughts and a diverse playerbase, these activities give users more options on how to spend their time while not punishing them for out-of-game responsibilities leading to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

Mage tower, outside of cheesing mechanics, are one of the few modes available that encourage player skill improvement.

PSA: Availability of timewalking gear has been quietly nerfed. Certain bis pieces have dropped from 11.5% to .34%. Legion gear now very often upgrades to 55 ilvl, which we did not see before. The move toward making the mage tower increasingly inaccessible is in progress.

That’s true and I wouldn’t mind it being around 100% of the time but to be fair almost all end game content encourages player skill improvement.

I just hate the fact that the challenges were not equal at all. Just compare guardian druids too prot paladins. That’s the main thing I didn’t like. Oh and gutting alllll the items during it too that also sucked.

If it isn’t waiting for the lockout timer for legacy raids then it’s having to wait for other events such as the Tower or even Timewalking.

Mage Tower should have remained available so people could still get the bear form anyway…

Timewalking should just be available all the time but just have bonuses for select expansions? I like revisiting old content as if it were still current/challenging but it sure sucks having to wait.

While I agree with your initial premise of:

I see no substance in your argument.

Yes, I should have been more precise in that its accessibility for player improvement is great. A solo player can queue up instantly whenever and for as many times as they like. Raids, PVP and Mythic+ can cause significant challenges getting through the gate, or many times lead to unintentional carries.

Source for this? I don’t remember reading anything about this.

Also: it’s good to have a break from the Mage Tower. People were obsessing and losing their minds over it. But I do think it should be a part of every Timewalking week and not just Legion.
