Don’t do it blizzard. Don’t you dare nerf normal and heroic. Best raids have felt in forever.
kind of wish blizzard run the raids to see if it needs a nerf
and not by feed back
They do. They have characters on live servers.
they operate like a restaurant which doesn’t taste its own food, but instead relies on charts and numbers. lol.
What do you mean? They already have nerfed several aspects of the raid already to balance it better. I have 0 doubts even more nerfs/balance will be added in the future as is the case with every prior raid.
not everyone is a pro like you that can play 20 hours a day.
Who cares if they nerf normal, heroic I agree, the difference between heroic and mythic is usually insane this makes it slightly better
Raids are supposed to be balanced for their intended audiences.
If a mythic guild is wiping in normal, something is wrong, if they’re struggling for hours and hours in heroic, something is wrong. When the people these are intended for get there they will be impossible.
These raids were still balanced around the gear acquisition and ilvl balance from TF/WF times, not the slower gear acquisition and fixed ilvl of SL.
They do. Blizz has their own internal raid testing team and they play on live too.
But beta/PTR raid testing is pretty time limited. So additional finetuning can be needed later as more live feedback comes in. And we’re also at a point right now where no one’s raid geared to begin with. It’ll get easier as time goes on.
The issue is that folks are/were undergeared. We were entering these raids with an ilvl less than that of the LFR versions rather than equivalent to the normal raid of the previous tier.
Better gear makes a significant difference. lol
We’re entering normal at what you should be expected to be entering normal at.
Heroic you could have more of an argument for, but these mythic guilds have NEVER struggled with heroic (old normal) like this, even with gear the mechanical requirements are beyond what they have asked from heroic raiders before, some of these fights are mythic level requirements.
eh, sludgefist had problems. he was considerably more difficult (on normal, we didn’t get that far on heroic last week cause the norm took more raid time than we expected) than the following two bosses. hopefully the changes they made will resolve them.
we wiped several times on sludgefist, then proceeded to one-shot Stone Legion and two-shot Sire Dan.
They’ve made changes to sludgefist since we saw him though, so idk how he is now.
Not really. lol
The mechanical complexity isn’t as high as folks would lead you to believe. Then again, folks are dramatic on the forums.
Everyone is weak right now. If a specific ability is hitting too hard, it will be tuned but the overall complexity of the raid is good.
Mythic raiders are saying this raid is more complex than Heroic usually is, people who actually do mythic raiding.
The number tuning is an ongoing process now though, we’ll have to see how it works out with completion rates this coming week. Heroic completion is CONSIDERABLY less then it has been in the past expansions.
I mean, I would imagine this is what most folks are talkin’ about when it comes to nerfs and what not. If something isn’t tuned correctly in Normal it needs to be looked at.
I am a mythic raider. Not a top 50 one or w/e but one that parsed overall in the 95th percentile last tier. lol
Nathria has some outliers that need nerfed a bit. Overall, though, the mechanical complexity is in a good spot.
Mythic may be another story but we will see soon enough.
Mythic may be a nightmare, going to be an interesting WF race, if it’s tuned on a scale from what heroic was, we may be still sitting here talking about it and watching it in Jan.
I have seen literally no evidence of this.
Almost all of their design decisions say they’ve never played the game themselves.
why would they nerf them when they’ve been cleared already?
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it plays out. There will definitely be nerfs/changes to mythic regardless of what they do to the other difficulties.
