You’re dumb af if you think anyone is satisfied with clearing only normals. Maybe 2-3 guilds. But majority of the player base wants to clear heroic no matter what. If its hard for guilds already struggling, players will quit. Doesnt take 1 braincell to uderstand that. Its why so many people dropped off. If they had it be easier from the start and made it more difficult to begin with i guarantee several guilds wouldnt have died off. The AQ40 release was a absolute dumpster fire and they killed majority of the player base on lockout 1. Majority of SOD players dont want hard content.

The drop off is cause pvp is trash.

Why did soo many people stop playing when they introduced stv? And it was an absolutely unenjoyable clownfiesta? You were either stuck in traps or destroyed from a distance or by meme tier melee hunters and ench shamans lmao.

Ofc people lost intrest. Why do people do content in classic and chase loot thats been compleated already?

To pvp in openworld or bgs and clown around

Atm youve got a few classes that make everyone elses gameplay obsolete in openworld. Feels like the devs dont have a clue of what theyre doing and dont even play their game. Or are trying on purpose to alienate players and have them quit.

So the hard modes aren’t that hard. Look at my logs, week 2 full hm clear. My “dad” guild is #11 on wild growth and we only raid 1 night a week. So get good? Aq40 isn’t that hard

They had to nerf fankriss’s hp by over 1 million and his enraging worms had their hp cut by over 50%.

Anybody saying it wasn’t overtuned has no idea what they’re talking about.

Classic players want easy raids. If you want hard raids that take weeks of prog, retail and cata are perfect for you.

If you want to challenge yourself in classic raids, you have to do it yourself. Speed runs, parses, self imposed challenges like running with less players or without world buffs.

High HP doesn’t equal hard. It just makes the fight not 45 seconds long. Which it is rn. The “hard” part for most people is not standing in the green stuff on the ground that does dmg. Honestly idk if nerfing that is needed. Like simply just don’t stand in the bad stuff.

High hp on mobs that enrage after 12 seconds and start one shotting everybody does make the fight hard. Nobody was wiping week 1 because green stuff was on the ground. They wiped because the worms weren’t dying fast enough.

And then blizz nerfed their hp by over 50% and the boss’s hp by over 1 million.

The 4th boss of a raid should take about 1 min for a fully consumed world buff’ed experienced group. If you’re looking for long challenging fights that require multiple prog attempts, play with bad players that don’t know their classes, don’t consume or world buff.

Or go play retail or cata.

Cata and retail is also mildly easy. But once again high hp doesn’t equal hard. Just kill the worms. If all DPS swapped to worms in spawn they would drop instantly. That’s however to hard for the avg sod player. Raids don’t need to be retail mythic difficulty but to say a simple target swap is to hard so u have to lower HP because no everyone is swapping is just bad players not doing the mechanics and want to tank and spank
