Don’t know what I’m doing wrong in RBGs

So I’ve been doing RBGs a while now but in DF I decided to go hard for RBGs to finally get that transmog gear for 1800. I started as a warrior tank and got to 1576. After that I decided sitting and guarding a base was boring as hell so I went fury. But 15 games later I’m at 1511. I sit in queue for up to an hour to get into a losing yolo game. Get declined from any decently rated rbg groups. I’m literally forced into no voice, yolo groups. I hear people say all the time if you’re good you’ll rise to the top and I don’t see how that’s true, I’m only 1 person. I can’t affect an entire RBG no matter how good I am. I just started solo shuffle, but you can’t get the transmog from that so it’s kinda pointless. I’m having this same issue on my resto Druid and MM Hunter. All of which are 417 ilvl.

what really ? then what was the point of them adding this useless thing then kek .
they should have just added solo q for rbgs , people want gear and tmogs . thanks for letting me know now wont waste my time with that unfun playlist .

You can only take yolos so far, it’s usually just luck of the draw what kind of team you get. You need to find a solid group pushing around your rating or some friends to get together and do it

Also helps if you pump the dam. Knowing how to do a massive amount of damage instantly gives your team a much better chance to win

He’s talking about the Warlord/Marshal transmogs from vanilla wow. Those require 1800 RBG rating. All the current season transmogs are available with shuffle rating.

well thats what i was referring to for my alts so solo shuffle would b useless for me lol

random yolo rated team sounds horrible. like regular bgs with bigger egos. no tmog is worth having to rely on terrible players.

They need to make it so that you don’t lose Rating. Rated PvP is already pointless and unrewarding enough as is; there is no point in making it punishing as well.

Sub-1400 is great. You get a decent amount of rating for winning and almost no reduction in rating when losing. After that, it slows to a boring, dull crawl.

its better then sitting waiting for 45 min to form a group . its also better then solo shuffle garbage . im not a fan of the rotating groups every round .

that would b overkill there needs to b a decay at least i dont mind reclimbing my rating . But to say there shouldn’t be rating lost then at that point remove ranked entirely and give everyone honor levels for all the cosmetics n gear . it would b a honor grind at that point .

see how silly that sounds ?

Get your item level to 417 and you’ll be invited to 1500 rated groups as Fury all day.

My pvp ilvl is 417, as well as my resto Druid and MM Hunter.

I dunno why you’re not getting invites then. I’ve never spent more than 10 minutes LFG on my 417 War. :pensive:

The only thing wrong about doing rbgs is doing rbgs.
Joking aside its a very miserable experience specially with soo many people super mad cause of 1 loss and the time it requries to make a new group that wont be stomped. The participation is quite low so the mmr and matchmaking go wild and do not help either.

Best sugestion i could make is go to a pvp server and join a pvp guild(or find one in your current server) that at least messes around in rated bgs. you can get 1800 pretty easily this way.
I got mine in shadowlands after like 30 games i think, maybe 40 but by no means i enjoyed it lol.

Bronarhar, if I see you queueing for an RBG on any of my characters, I’ll advise the leader to take you

I find that for the most part it’s about getting yourself recognised within the community of regular LFGers, by doing things within RBGs that help people out and engaging with them.

There’s quite a few alt-2k+ groups at low CR which are the ones you want to look for and apply. Not all of them have voice, though it wont matter - they’ll score the win streaks and get your rating up.

Then it’s about looking only for groups with that same CR / MMR range (or higher).

You can search communities for an RBG community.

I wish I had one to recommend but it’s probably best to apply to several of the large ones and then see which are active and leave the rest. Some may have structured teams that push rating but several will at least have other players LFG that you can group up with.

I really wish RBG was more popular, it’s my favorite activity in the game but unfortunately there just aren’t many people that play it and high ratings are usually controlled pretty tightly by a relative few but very good teams that you’ll have to win against to progress. I think 1.8 is fairly attainable though, and it sounds like you’re already pretty dedicated.

Communities might be a good route for you.

You should never ever ever…EVER…ever ever EVER…be guarding a base as a Prot Warrior.

It’s like the worst use possible of a Prot War and totally against their intended design. They should be either floating to cap a base solo. Or be in on the big Team fight to do big damage, Aoe stun, reduce damage for your team and control with CC/Knockbacks/Roots.

I’ve outdamaged my team and lead in KB’s in some RBGs. Get out there and lead the fight as a Prot Warrior. Do big damage and use your 3 stuns and debuffs/control.

Having a Prot War guard a base is like putting a Healer at a base. It makes zero sense. Never do it. If someone asks you to defend, tell them they are wrong and refuse cause they don’t understand.

You really should be doing 20+ million dmg and Aoe Clapping people with big Shockwaves.
