Don’t kick multispec players after joining M+ group

Sheesh this is so annoying. people constantly kick you after joining a group while switching to the spec that you applied for… why?

Happened like 4 times so far this patch

Let people know that you are going to switch, perhaps communication is the issue.

If they knew they would be cool with it.

No as soon as you join the group and it shows your role as something else they kick even if you are like mid casting respec lol

Like not even enough time to type anything

Type faster …geeez :stuck_out_tongue:

Because they are being derpy? Or too stoned? Or whatever?

No I think it’s because they think you’re like gimmicking the queue or something idk it doesn’t make sense

You join, it says your role is not the role you applied for, I’m mid respec, it then tells the party I switched to the role that it applied for

Leader kicks because they were mid kick before seeing the updated message

Just happens often it’s annoying lol

Idk what information you’re intentionally leaving out so you can cry victim, but stop trying to weasel into groups for free carries.
I’ve blocked you in game so you never see my groups in lfg. Thanks for letting me know :+1:

Sure bud have a good day lol

More just a PSA to not kick your multispec friends

I don’t need to hide stuff people can look up my io or logs lol

This is something easily solved with a bit of communication.

When did they change this? In the past, blocking someone meant they would not be put into a random group together. But I had lots of issues with players I blocked continually re-applying to my groups.

Lol bro I just said they kick you as soon as you join the party because it says you have a different role

There’s no time to type anything

A quick way to fix it is to “Set Your Role” once you’ve joined the party. That way you can still be dps while questing or w/e but show as healer in the group/LFG. Then you just swap when the party is full.

Granted the party lead could also set your role but most party leads have no idea what they’re doing.

Just a suggestion - when you get the invite, change your spec, then hit the accept button.

Create a macro that changes your spec and also types /p “changing spec blah blah blah whatever”

If you’re in the middle of a fight or whatever you can’t always do that but I get your point

Alternatively we can call the community to a higher standard instead of being mongos who kick after 3 sec cause they see different role temporarily lol

Community in general neeeds more chill

Maybe it would be easier for you to change the way you do things than have everyone else change.

And don’t get me wrong, no matter what you do, you’ll just have impatient a-holes, who like you said, just kick with extreme prejudice. Unfortunately, you’re just gunna have low tier people like that because most people don’t pay attention or think ahead - like when they drive in real life!

Another way to look at it is they’re doing you a favor. If they’re that impatient, or unobservant then you don’t want to be in a group with them in the first place.

Yes we should continue to promote degenerate behavior because that’s good for everyone as opposed to promoting chill

I’ve never seen it, if they take a while I set their role to the right role so the group can still fill. If they don’t change to the one they signed up as, when we’re in the dungeon, yes I would kick. But no reason to make them swap if they want to do quests while we fill as dps or whatever.

Or maybe people like yourself could actually pay attention for once and recognize it takes people time to swap to the invited/requested spec lol.

That does require a bit more intelligence to perform though, so it’s understandable if some people can’t do that.
