Doing a Lot Out of Spite

The worst part about WQs bugging out is Blizzard can simply say “well it obviously didn’t work because you had some addon!” and even if you tell them you are running no addons, they refuse to respond.

I remember during Mists, I had a mob down to like 80%, all by myself. Then someone else walked up, tapped it once and it immediately went gray. I filed a report and the response I got was “That zone has a bunch of wonderful fun powers!”

Had they said something like “that’s most likely because they used X power” it would have been an answer. But they didn’t even go that far. They never answered my question and listed the report as resolved.

Yea the 1% ers got to defend this crap. I think what others said it is Blizzard employees defending.

I don’t even waste my time anymore reporting bugs opening tickets, what’s the use? They just going to make excuses.

This is such asinine logic. We should be licking their boots for them gating it and tying it behind some system that isn’t as bad as pathfinder.

How is that lucky? Unlucky was them taking it away. No one complained about unlocking flying at max beyond the gold sink of doing it on every single toon.

And that is exactly the problem with their PR. You get people who have given up. Apathy is a most terrifying card to see on the field when you’re trying to maintain a steady base of customers.

I didn’t complain as it was only way to get flying before path finder. I do like pathfinder in it saves me a lot of gold with my amry of alts, with that said I dislike the LONG time gating behind it with pathfinder 1 & 2 in legion and BFA and now in SL with 3-4-5 months after 9.1 drops to get renown, nothing has changed they just crammed it all into one patch rather than spread the crap over 2 patches.

You are correct before you recognize the problem you do go through a phase of blaming things that are not responsible.

The main point I was attempting to make is that what you are calling spite is actually intentional manipulation of a vulnerable population.

Do you want to do business with a company that behaves this way?!
It’s akin to selling someone with borderline retardation and diabetes candy except in this case the harm is emotional and destructive to an already damaged human being.

THAT is a lot of people. We don’t mind Pathfinder. We mind the artificial gating, just to stretch things out. I mean, even if they did a “ok, Pathfinder, opens base world, then part 2 opens up new zones” I think most people would still be ok with that.

Yeah the delay for pathfinder part 2 is the punch to the gut. People who find issue doing the requirements once, even when account-wide, are just beyond help. Either that or they’re pvp andys who never leave the city while they run laps like rats (if you can catch the joke).

I would be fine with pathfinder without the gating, as I included that. I’d even be fine with them gating it for 1 or 2 months, supposing it took this long to get it and was farmable at launch.

But as it stands now, I’d prefer just shelling gold for my maxed toons even if it’s like 10000 gold each.

The thing is we know it won’t be that cheap (thinking 100k probably given they increased gold cap with legion and we have so much inflation). And even though I have millions, I would prefer to not have it get burnt away. Best way to have gold is to never spend.

Cause if there was a gold cost to flying we all know blizz would put game progression behind flying again like TBC, thus putting another damper on jumping to alts (and most people really do not have gold).

I mean, I’ll use BfA as an example.

Say they did Pathfinder Part 1, base content. Then they brought out Nazjatar, a few extra things to do, easily doable within a couple weeks of playing the zone unless you were really slacking. Wham, you’ve got part 2. And another set of things for unlocking flying on Mechagon as part 3.

That way they get us involved in the new zones on the ground for enough time to see most of the story. Then we can take to the skies and move toward the daily grind.

THAT would be a true Compromise. Pathfinder as it exists now is not a Compromise because they’ve given up nothing. It’s an Ultimatum, that’s all it is right now.

Pathfinder part 2 should have been given after doing at the latest 8.1.5, preferably completing BoD (like we should be able to fly in the zones cause no opposite faction trying to shoot us down headcanon). Then with 8.2 have part 3 for both mechagon and nazjatar just like we had with part 2 unlock.

Game would have been really sparse to pace naz and mechagon at separate patches, what we got felt pretty decent in content size for 8.2. Although mechagon was garbage of a zone. Hated the RNG drops and farming for rank 4 paragons, vs nazjatar.

In that case… stop the drip.

Just turn the servers off.

And possibly their career and quality of life

Obviously they are following big data now, not us forum crusaders’ interpretations of things

If we feel thing strongly about the direction of the game we must speak with our wallets, or else be complicit

Yea I had np with path finder 2 in BFA, I had flying 6 days after 9.2 dropped.

i think the same , they probably would rather this game be an instance play only and not a true mmorpg anymore, probably be much cheaper to run and just as profitable with a lesser player base.

Oh look another 1 %er trying to be blizzard employee in defending this. You knew before you came into this thread what it was about and yet here you are.

Look at OP 260+ likes vs your 4 lmao enough said.

I’m a 1%er now?! Thanks. I figured the fact I’m only 2/10 on heroic would have kept me out of that category. You really boosted my confidence.

Imagine thinking that 260 people agreeing with you is something to brag about

Clearly you can’t read either  go figure.
