Doing a Lot Out of Spite

wth is the moderator edit nonsense? You cant mention Blizzard on their own forums…

There’s no “in a way” about the issue. It is exactly what they have done. As soon as Activision bought Blizzard, World of Warcraft simply became an IP to leverage for as much revenue as possible.

They’ve been a revenue company for years. I know all companies are, but many company’s first focus is the product. Profits come later.

When a conglomerate buys a company you like, prepare for the product that you like from that company to go down in quality.

The conglomerate doesn’t care about the product, they care about making the most money possible from that product.

We’ve been in that state for a loooong time now with respect to WoW.

Okay. I really don’t care.

too true. shadowlands is so horrendous and so unrewarding that 95% of the time i log in, its because there’s something to do with someone. but even then, mythic+ and raids are so trash that it’s still usually not very enjoyable to straight up horrible.

every little design decision in this expansion is blatantly against the player.

It’s more out of stubborness than spite. Something you need to understand is certain developers are incredibly stubborn about the things they want changed to the game.

I second that WHAT and raise it with a ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I mean, sure, it probably is in principle, but what is actually wrong with saying “Blizzard” in the title? Is that somehow Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken?

I’ve screenshotted it, this is reddit material.

They’re trying to cure a WoW addiction many didn’t know they had.

That’s my guess lol, Blizzard trying to die a hero.

How’s the boot taste?

This edit is gold

Funny how OP got 260+ likes within a day and yours got 7. It sums up how the 1% of player base defends this crap.

I don’t see how as after i completed a wq I want to get to fp to fly to my next, that is WHOLE purpose of whistle.

This counters your first.

They were not complaining about reward but how hard they are with hidden steps.
You just changed your answers to better fit your narrative.

It does make you raise an eyebrow for sure.

I agree when you make/design an xpac that is pure business minded this is what you get, screw the customers, long as the stock holders are happy.

…But if people liked it, why change it?

I won’t say stubborn. It’s ego. They’re afraid to admit they’re wrong. Because that’d be damaging to their ego.

A person can be stubborn because they know that to relent would be to admit they let their ego make decisions. Which is always a bad thing.

Even the bugs they refuse to fix I think is designed to extend game play, like that wq in Bastion where you mount the mech and kill to get your bar to 100% then kill that boss? SO many times the UI bugs and you don’t get credit for killing AND of course there is no exit you have to run half way across the zone to get out of it to start over.

We don’t have flying currently, though…

You know the Dredging WQ? That quest has been bugged for me since launch, I just can’t pick up the Dredgers properly, I have to spam them and hope that my character grabs them like he normally should.

Yes and Sl they made it seem like when 9.1 drops we would get flying, NOPE it will take 3-4-5 months after 9.1 drops to get flying, nothing has changed from other xpacs in regards to flying, the long time gate from patch to drop to actually flying.
