lol same exact thing happened to me yesterday. Same HPS too.
The counterpoint, “Yeah, it’s a lot of HPS/DPS needed for [INSERT ENCOUNTER], but in time gear will make it easier” is true.
However, it’s also predicated on the assumption that people will stick around long enough to collect said gear and not up and leave out of frustration/boredom of having to grind for the gear in the first place. I can stick it out with my regular group, but man, it’s going to be brutal trying to PuG on alts.
Everyone’s has to do their part for the group to be successful.

No survival is good. It just depends on how the tank pulls. Sv thrives in big pulls not small ones. If you’re not chaining multiple pulls together sv drops off.

I mean let’s be honest. Most people don’t play at a level they can time twenties in the first month.
Is 1 million hps a lot?
With 5 members in the party each having about 5 million health, that equates to about 25-30 million total health.
1 million hps VS 25-30 million party health
That’s 3-4% of your total parties health per second.
Kindve doesn’t sound good. Maybe heals do need to be buffed considering our health pools.
You blame the game instead of blaming that one DPS who doesnt interrupt and kill the Boss adds quickly enough.
Do you want to bring Bob the lazy or my 10 year old nephew who has no idea of what interrupt is and no way could kill any adds on time and still beat the dungeon?

No, of course not. All this talk about of not being able to do “X” is premature since it’s still early in the season. Gear will fix issues in time. Question is whether most players will last long enough to see things through.
There’s no denying attrition in the PuG scene is really bad right now and I gather most people who do M+ PuG in some form. Those of us with static groups are okay regardless because we have the luxury of shrugging off failed keys as learning experiences. Those who don’t though are in a rough spot.

Also, if you are needing to do 1.3m HPS then your group is doing things seriously wrong. I did my +5 NW with the healer doing 500k and +9 with the healer doing 1m.
This much healing is only required if you dont one phase the boss and allow multiple aboms to be up at the same time.
Use spears. Nuke the boss. Did he die? Yes - good job. No? Kill the add.
You could do the same HPS in a mythic raid and get better loot for it. Just saying.
Thats where Im at… looking for a guild to run 2-3 Mythic bosses for the gear cause m+ is a PAIN to pug

3rd Boss first abom, you hook boss > hook enraged boss on floor > hook boss off platform, then kill the abom to get rid of stacks and use new abom for enrage + platform + enrage, kill rinse repeat. There’s a stacking AOE that goes out so they must die eventually.
This boss is an outlier in damage done and probably needs another nerf. I did 1.5m hps on a 10, fortunately we killed it.
Problem I have encountered with pug is there is, most of the time, not enough dps for the abom.
Dps at 617ilvl not doing enough dps and they are at 1900+ is crazy but happen constantly and theres no way of knowing before the start of the dungeon
Ah i see yeah sob not very conducive to that i guess.
Like my monk healer friend likes to say “you can’t heal through stupid.”
Honestly, wish we could… A good healer should be able to, but right now its impossible. Dps are too dependant imo.
They could make healer more “challenging” by exactly letting us healing through stupid lol
NW 3rd boss is extremely pug-unfriendly. There is basically only one right way to handle the boss. If the group fails to follow the steps exactly, it will likely result in a wipe.
Even worse, once you have a wipe, many groups won’t be able to kill the boss because they cannot meet the DPS check without the weapons.
