TellMeWhen - Heck NO. That addon is horrible
I want an icon to pop up on an ability that has come up on its own timer or early if ready. WeakAura’s just for 1 skill is overkill. There are some addons out there but they’re either “let me display every skill you’ve used” or “no, no one makes an addon like this”
Your best bet sadly is a weakaura.
I’ll just give up on this then. There used to be an addon, simple, doesn’t use hardly any resources, but the guy who made it stopped back in 2015
Out of curiosity, how come you’re opposed to a WA?
I’m running quite a few of them myself.
“World First” raiders use weak auras.
Even for 1 spell its worth using, as its highly configurable. sounds, colors, icons, timers, etc etc etc.
In my limited use of WeakAuras, the main problem it has is that individual auras can vary wildly in quality. WoW addons have always been a bit dodgy since most of them are developed by authors who aren’t professional programmers, but it’s especially prominent with auras because the bar to entry is reduced even further (don’t need to create the trappings of a full addon – just click “new aura” and start writing code).
Last time I used it was for managing procs and effects on legiondaries and it took quite a bit of fiddling around to find a combo that worked well.
I use Doom Cooldown Pulse. Works good enough for me.
