Doesn't make sense

The story is exactly the same for a Blood Elf Retribution Paladin as it is for a Void Elf Devourer Demon Hunter.

You have a practically unlimited budget. Do better. If SWTOR can do story variations based on race/class combos, you can. SWTOR makes almost no money, unlike WoW.

Bliz has rarely ever been good at that. If anything that there’s a lot of dialogue reactivity in this expansion is something they haven’t done often, and special b-side quests like dracthyr get in DF seems like it’s always been a rarity, no?

Indeed. It almost makes me want to play other characters through story quests to see the other reactions.

I have heard about some of the interactions, stumbled onto others I haven’t heard discussed much, and it makes me wonder how other characters are treated.

Having a Blood Elf Paladin and a Blood Elf Warlock really gives me some perspective- people love my pally in his hometown lol but my Lock doesn’t get the same kind of love.

And Warlock Voidwalker pets have dialogue lines in the Voidstorm! I always wanted some more lore about those guys. They seem sort of intelligent, compared to the other demons. So it’s nice to see them talk a little.

I have always hated being referred to as a champion of the light or whatever, its like being gang pressed into a holy war when you want nothing to do with that faith.

There are reasons for that.

Bro, i just want a story variation of horde and alliance like we ahve before

I freaking despite the windrunner bint, i cant stand her crap but blizzard keep forcing me to help her

Like, good god, how can you be so lazy that you cant just change the NPC to Liadrin in the same dogcrap quest???

Or when you get referred to as an ‘outsider’ by your own race. Nothing like going to Kul Tiras and being treated like I am not from Kul Tiras. Haranir get the same thing too which is funny. The only time this made sense is with Pandaren as PC Pandaren are from the Wandering Isle, not Pandaria.

Vanilla WoW had entire questlines that were class specific. The warlock demon ones were awesome but even Warrior had a series of quests that took them all over the place to get the Whirlwind Axe.

The fact that we rarely get them anymore has always been a massive sin on Blizzard’s shoulders. Especially now we dont get two faction campaigns anymore.

That’s different though, they were to learn your kit. Also some classes still get those (they readded hunter taming quests at some point, for example)

Well they can be repurposed into providing special gear with unique models. Or new glyphs. You remember glyphs? Weren’t they neat.
At this point its obvious they don’t want to write a Horde campaign to go with the Alliance one. They need to add something else, something to encourage new characters and unique playthroughs. These sorts of class specific questlines would be my suggestion.
They’re already adding unique dialogue in midnight. Why can’t they write a few more paragraphs and send you off somewhere to go kill some people for a new toy or something?

Correction: They have a company that could provide a practically unlimited budget. But they won’t, because that’d cut into the bigwigs getting their big stock option bonuses.

One of the voidwalker lines is basically Release me. Let me feed on the magic here and you’ll see what I’m really capable of.

I love the little tidbits like that.

I’ve honestly lost count of the number of times a NPC quest giver has said something to the effect of “Curse those vile undead”. To my face.

They actually kinda hung a lampshade on it in BFA. You’re working with Goblins and one of them freaks out when he see’s Ghuun’s undead minions. And his boss goes

“We work with the undead all the time, idiot”

Back when the devs actually cared and were passionate, not heavily corporatized like today.

How often does SWTOR add new specs, races, and classes compared to WoW?

Leaving behind that those should be entirely different teams handing that….I could go a couple of expacs without any of those to be honest.

new playable races are added every now and then. content is added, frequently. they have largely homogenized the story, but they still make it a point to have the game do a race/class check and adjust dialogue, accordingly… and that is a game that is still 100% voiced.

so it is obviously not that difficult.
